More About Kara Kopetsky

There have been a couple of requests for another reading for Kara Kopetsky, who disappeared in May of 2007.  I thought about this for awhile, unsure of what I could add, and decided to ask the Tarot one more question, in an attempt to hone in on Kara's whereabouts. It does look, from previous readings, like she has been the victim of foul play. I always wish, in cases like this, that the outcome could be more positive.

We begin with the six of pentacles, reversed, crossed by the Emperor. Somehow, due diligence has not been done here, in terms of searching for her. The Emperor is either Kara's father, or a "fatherly" male, who would like to find her. The ten of pentacles is in the past; it points to a reward or bonus for finding Kara, but no one has collected. Next, and also in the past, we have the five of swords. Usually, when this card comes up in a reading, it is all about lies and revenge, and sometimes about violence. This is why I think Kara met with foul play. There was someone, a male someone, who was vindictive and felt that he had a score of some sort to settle with Kara. The lovers appear next, in the place of possibilities. This is a suggestion that partnership and communication have been lacking, but will help, if tried. Information must be shared, locations must be searched and searched again. Any locations given in tips that were not searched should be searched. The ace of cups, reversed, appears as a challenge; there is an attitude "we've searched everywhere, there's no where else to search!" Yet, obviously, that's not true, as Kara would have been found if that was the case.

The five of pentacles appears in the place of fears. Often, the on this card shows a church. There may be a church in the vicinity of Kara's location. I would expect this church to be a landmark of sorts. In the place of environment, we have the ten of cups. I really feel that this speaks to location, and this card often tells of a family home. There could even be new construction of houses in the area. The Wheel of Fortune comes up in hopes, and this is simply the hope that luck will prevail, and that Kara will be found. The reading ends with the nine of cups, which is another "house and home" card. That card also indicates that there are enough resources to find Kara; and no reason to delay. There are a lot of "cups" cards, and their element is water. Water is a key feature in this situation. Also, there is water symbolism in the Lovers, and the suggestion on that card is to search water, and places with waterways and ponds.West is the direction associated with water and cups, pointing us west in the search. Searchers should expect to cross the Kansas River, and go into Kansas.

New Post On Solarsight

There is a new post on this blog's sister site, Solarsight Tarot Readings. It is about using the Tarot for dream interpretations, something I have not covered here, on this site.

Myra Alissia Freeman

Myra Alissia Freeman was taking out the trash one evening at her home in Alabama, where she lives with her parents. She is seventeen years old, and the back story, along with the sheriff's contact information, is on the poster. But what happened, and where is she?

The basis is the seven of wands, reversed, crossed by Temperance. The seven of wands usually refers to something left unguarded when it falls reversed, and it speaks to loss, and the embarrassment that follows loss; as if one should have known better. Temperance shows good combinations and management. Beneath this, we have the eight of pentacles, reversed. The eight of pentacles is the card of the apprentice, but as Alissia was only seventeen, we can probably safely assume that this refers to schooling. As it falls reversed, it shows stresses, or problems, in that area. So we are given school stresses as a backdrop.

Following this, but still in the recent past, we have the four of wands, reversed. This is completed harvest and the chance to relax after hard work, and that is what it means in either the reversed or upright position. Reversed sometimes suggests that while things are not perfect, things are still pretty good. A possible outcome is the seven of pentacles, reversed, which I do not like. The seven of pentacles is the reaping of the fruits of one's labor when it falls upside right, but in reversal, it means the opposite: wasted efforts with no reward. This is a suggestion that Alissia may not be found immediately. The next card, in the near future, is Death. While the card can foretell a death, it is much more common for this card to tell us about a major change in someone's life, or in a situation. So far, I have not seen any violence in this reading that would have caused a death.

In the place of fears, we have the four of pentacles, which is a fear of waste, or a fear of not having enough money. I am actually happy to see this card in this position, as it relates to things that are on Alissia's mind. The next card is the Page of Swords, reversed. This page is in the place of environment, and is a young person who probably knows exactly where Alissia can be found. As the card has come up reversed, it suggests spying and lying, which is how this young person helped Alissia disappear. In the place of hopes, we have the Empress. This is the "mother" card of the Tarot, and as she appears upside right, we can assume that the mother in the situation, Alissia's mother, is her ally, here. This is also something that is on Alissia's mind. The final card is Justice, reversed, which worries me a bit. When Justice falls reversed in a reading, it usually warns that an authoritative decision somewhere along the line will be made, and it will impede progress. This could mean several things. First, it could be telling us that the police will determine that Alissia "ran away", and since she is seventeen, they will not realize that runaways are in just as much danger as kidnapping victims, and close her case. Or it could warn us that someone with whom Alissia is spending time could become paranoid or unjust in some way, and harm Alissia...or it could mean that law enforcement simply looks in all the wrong places and does not have any solid leads. I hate to see this card reversed as a final outcome.

As for location, Death would point us north. The item on the card that caught my eye is his flag, bearing the white, mystic rose. Could Alissia have ended up in a place that has "rose" in it's name? The four of pentacles also points us north, but the card is reversed, so perhaps things are stalled. The Page of Swords would use east as a direction, but he is also reversed, but the transformation of Death clearly shows that Alissia has traveled enough to dramatically change her situation. It appears, by this reading, that while she is in danger, it is not too late for rescue. I hope she is found soon.

How Can Sierra Lamar Finally Be Located?

Sierra Lamar, who disappeared in March of 2012, has still not been found. I have done a couple of readings for her,  most recently, this one, dealing with Antolin Garcia, the suspect in her case. I recently got a question about possibly drawing a map, but I do not know the area where she was last seen, and I am a bit hesitant to try. Unfamiliarity with such subject matter is a serious limitation for such an endeavor. After pondering what I might be able to do, I decided to try a horoscope spread for Sierra. Sometimes astrological references are better for the determination of location than other types of divination. So my attempt follows.

In the first house, the house of ego, personality, and physical appearance, we get the King of Swords. Obviously, this is not Sierra, but as he falls upright, and as court cards in the suit of swords are often law enforcement, I think it is safe to assume that this man is either an officer or a prosecutor investigating the case. The second house, the house of money and possessions, gives us the four of wands, reversed. We have seen the four of wands in other readings pertaining to Sierra, and I think we still need to check the symbolism indicated by the card for location: this is a card of happy family celebrations, harvest completed, havens or refuges, or parks where people have picnics or outdoor parties. Once again, we see it reversed, so while the meaning remains the same, there is a chance that this location has either been abandoned or is not visited very often. In the third house, the house of short journeys, communications relating to business, memory and logic, and power; we find the Queen of Cups, reversed. This is a woman who is somehow connected to the case, and she has been hiding evidence and prevaricating to investigators. It is interesting that we see her in the house of "short journeys". She not only knows Sierra's location, but may have visited it. The fourth house, the "home environment", and coincidentally, the last days of life, give us the ace of wands, reversed. I do not think that we are being told of Sierra's home where she resided with her family; I think this is the "home environment" of the main crime scene. Wands point us south, but this wand is reversed; I think it is possible that the suspect began to go south with Sierra, but changed his mind, yet did not travel as far as he had originally intended. Sierra has not moved, but her locations has been "clouded", or obscured, at least once.

The fifth house, of creativity, love affairs, and children, presents the Devil, reversed. This is actually good news for the investigation, because when the Devil falls upside right, that speaks of bondage. Reversed, the meaning is release from bondage. The fifth house also points us to amusements and pleasures, which, once again, ties in with the imagery of a place used for recreation. In house six, the house of day to day life, work relationships, and domestic animals, we find the High Priestess. She is a symbol of secrets, and she also links to water. Once again, we have the reference of hidden influences, and we also have a feminine influence. But this is being done quite casually. In the seventh house, of marriage and divorce, close relationships, close partnerships, and the relation of all of those things to the general public, we have the Empress. The Empress is the "mother" card of the Tarot. Something that grabbed my attention is the remote and almost archaic symbolism on the card; the myrtle tree and branches traditionally go along with the Empress, and her crown traditionally has twelve stars. Venus is also symbolic, and sometimes she is pictured with seven pearls around her neck. These elements, somehow, deserve consideration. In the eighth house, which represents death, joint finances, and transitions, we see the Wheel of Fortune. This card represents the laws of cause and effect, and also can foretell an unexpected stroke of luck. As it is in the eighth house, which is death, I think we are being told that we may find the crime scene, as well as Sierra. The reference to cause and effect may refer to evidence and the presence of DNA.

In the ninth house, the house of long journeys, the social "establishment", law, and protection, we get the nine of cups. This card speaks of having plenty of resources, and is also a reference to "home", but home here is a place to eat and drink. The cups take us west, and the ninth house refers to travel, as does the third house, which, incidentally, also has a card from the suit of cups, pointing us a little to the west. The "home" symbolism tells us that the suspect(s) did not take Sierra too far from home, though. The tenth house, of social standing, career ambitions, relationships with superiors, and "father" relationships, gives us the Tower, which is a card of imprisonment and ruin. Overthrow of existing methods of investigation are indicated here, along with disruption of some type; yet all this may bring much needed enlightenment. Someone connected to the investigation appears to either be consciously or unconsciously "helping" the suspect, rather than helping Sierra's family find Sierra. The eleventh house, of hopes, hobbies, and friends, gives us the seven of cups. The seven of cups is a card of dreams, sometimes fantasy, but not of direct knowledge. The message on this is clear; Sierra's peers and friends do not know where she is. It is interesting to note that there is another "water" or "west" reference, though. In house number twelve, of secret, self undoing, and secret enemies, we find the Hanged Man. This is often a card of sacrifice and meditation, but I also see it as another reference to trees, a single tree, and water.

I hope this reading has helped. If I knew the area at all, it would be easier for me to link the symbolism to actual features in the landscape. I hope evidence, along with Sierra, can be found.

Why Won't Anyone Come Forward For Kyron Horman?

So why won't anyone who knows either what happened to Kyron Horman, or knows what may
have happened to Kyron Horman, come forward and testify? Because he has been missing
for five years, I decided to publish a reading on this question.

We start with a basis of the Empress, crossed by the six of pentacles, which is read
reversed in this case. The message is already quite clear: the Empress is the mother,
and the six of pentacles, reversed, says, "I want something I haven't gotten from you!" We have a
witness whose demands, either monetary or legal, have not, apparently, been met by
Kyron's family! Almost extortion.

The past in this case involves the ten of swords, which can be violence, or simply a
final ending. Along with this is the four of swords, reversed, which is a return to action,
after a period of dormancy. That is an interesting description of the past: a rather jarring
end, and yet a return to everyday activities.....it also tells us that there has been some
recent, if not publicly shared, activity in the case. The very best thing that can happen
here is represented by the ace of cups, which is a wonderful card for this position. It
means the renewal of hope, followed by the desires of the heart becoming reality. We
can only hope and pray. This is followed by the Wheel of Fortune, which is a great
thing happening, but as a surprise, and almost completely by chance. It seems, here,
that it is related to written and spoken words, information, and to a young person.

The Queen of Wands comes up in the place of self image here; this is a woman,
and her perspective of herself. She is someone who can help locate Kyron; she
sees herself as a protector of sorts. The card describing her environs is the four
of wands, reversed. This tells a story of family life, and changing situations, and
also a certain amount of clouded happiness and denial about the same. It is hard
to relate that to testimony about Kyron, however! The eight of cups appears to describe
this person's regrets, and this card appears when someone either works for something
and decides against it, in the end, or gets what he wants, yet is disappointed by it.
The last card is the King of Wands, who is usually a family man, and is usually
married. While the queen appears in the place of imaginations of sorts, the king is
part of reality, making him one of the factors to which any witnesses react. The
Empress and the King of Wands....the two people who want Kyron home the most.

Sadly, it appears, from the beginning of the reading, that witnesses have held out
over compensation of some sort. Vicious.

Update To Mickey Shunick Reading

There has been a very sad update to this case. A man named Brandon Scott Lavergne has been arrested for agravated kidnapping and first degree murder of Mickey Shunick. There is no word about having found Mickey, though. I do not believe she has been located as of this update. There should be more news about this tommorrow.

How And When Will Ayla Reynolds Get Justice?

I promised to do a reading on this question of justice for Ayla Reynolds recently. As for what happened to Ayla, I do not think I can add productively to the other readings I have done. But I do think I can add this question, and hopefully interpret the message of the cards. Keep in mind that sometimes, time is a difficult item to measure in any type of divination. And often, Justice takes time, moving at it's own pace.

I changed the question a bit on this one. I was having problems getting a clear answer with the question about "Justice"...it appears that there are six individuals who know what happened to Ayla at this point in time, not just three. Rather than chase down the role and consequence each perp should face in a perfect justice system, I reshuffled, asking if this case would ever be resolved. Here is what I got: the two of swords, crossed by the three of cups. This message is clear; the two of swords represents stalemates, and that describes the Ayla Reynolds case quite well. The three of cups is resolution here, and it has been delayed. It is at odds with the two of swords. At the base of this, we have the Page of Swords, reversed. This individual has appeared in other readings I have done for Ayla, so I am not surprised to see him again. He is an accomplice, and he has assisted the person who is responsible for Ayla's disappearance. While he has done nothing but aid the cause of injustice, his achilles heel is lack of commitment. When he gets tired, or when the going gets tough, he will break, and not be a reliable ally for the perp anymore. Moving into the past, we have the King of Cups, reversed. This is a male with adult responsibilities and a bad character. Lies are also associated with this king when he falls reversed. Also look for scandals and double dealing. As a desired outcome, we have the Empress, which is the "mother" card. This simply tells us that the best resolution would be for the mother to get her answers. The three of wands offers some practical help with the person responsible and the accessories. This could be a new volunteer effort or an experienced search and rescue team who wants to help Ayla's mother.

The Hanged Man tells us what the status of Ayla's case is right now; it is in a state of suspense. Efforts to catch the responsible party have not lead to Ayla, and other sacrifices will have to be made in order to resolve this case. The Tower describes the atmosphere surrounding this case right now; somehow, resolution will involve the overthrow of old methods of solving crime, and someone's position that has somehow been used to cover this crime will be exposed. The seven of cups in the place of desire tells us that the perpetrator has "helped" this investigation scatter it's energies and resources in too many different directions. The reading ends with the five of cups, which tells us of loss and regret, but with something returned. It will not be a happy resolution, though. So sad.

There are four "water" cards, (cups) in this reading, and three more cards that contain water references. (two of swords, three of wands, and the Hanged Man) It seems that Ayla is probably still either in Waterville, or very close to it. While the Hanged Man could be trying to pull Ayla out of a stream as the current pushes her past him, I think the "currents" referenced here are human egos of those close to Ayla's paternal family. It is possible that the Hanged Man is attempting to pull more clues from the currents of conversation and "talk" in order to pull out the truth. I do not claim to know how it will happen, but the Tower fortells the truth coming out in way that brings down an institution, demanding reform.

Ayla Reynolds

Ayla Reynolds, a toddler from Maine, has been missing since December 17. The reading I did was to answer the questions of what happened to her, and how would she be found. Ayla was staying with her father at the time of her disappearance, and he states that when he got up on the morning of December 17, she was missing from her bedroom. The reading starts with the Sun, reversed, crossed by the five of wands. Ayla's presence was welcomed enough, it seems, but not exactly what those around her wanted. The five of wands represents some sort of game, or trickery, almost from the beginning of this whole situation, before little Ayla went missing. This is based by the Page of cups. The Page of Cups here tells of news of a birth. And the message fading into the background is the seven of cups, the card of illusions and false notions. This reiterates the message of the base of the reading, expectations not being met, somehow, and deception being an option, for some reason, before this child even moved in with her father.

The very best thing we will all hear about this in terms of resolution is the Knight of Swords, reversed. I am not particularly pleased to see this card here, but not surprised. While I hope and pray for the best in all this, this Knight, especially reversed, warns of anger, violence, and sometimes violent death. The next card is the eight of swords, telling us of something that WILL take place. This is a card of restriction. Wherever this baby has been hidden, someone is keeping her whereabouts from becoming known. It gives me a little bit of hope that Ayla might be found alive. Just a little.

The six of pentacles has come up in the place of the feelings of the perpetrator. I was not expecting to see this card here, and I find it curious. It clearly refers to a financial reward, and I think it has to do with the reward offered for Ayla's return. Apparently, this has made an impression on someone. The next card, in the place of home environment, and opinions of family and friends, is the Hermit, reversed. The Hermit is like Diogenes, always searching for an honest man; and, quite frankly, finding him here, reversed, in the place of family is discouraging. It means that the people who lived with this little girl are not looking for her. In the place of hopes, we have the ace of wands, reversed. In addition to not looking for Ayla, someone is also not hoping that she will be found and returned to her mother. This sounds very harsh, but this is what the cards are saying. The final outcome is the two of cups. This is a card of partnerships. I believe that Ayla will be found by the efforts of more than one person or organization working together, and possibly in two days or two weeks. The two of cups may also refer to a significant other of someone who had access to Ayla.

Closer examination of same reading: The sun draws energy and objects into orbit around itself. In this reading, it is reversed. It is crossed by the five of wands. I think the very center of the house from which Ayla disappeared needs to be checked very carefully for clues.

Michelle Parker

I did a Celtic Cross reading to find out what happened to Michelle Parker and why she went missing. She is a mom of three, who went missing last month from Florida. Her courtship with the father of her children has been contentious, and they appeared on "People's Court", in a dispute over an engagement ring.

The basis of the matter was Temperance, reversed, crossed by the Lovers. This message seems pretty obvious......a bad combination of ingredients, but still combined, anyway. This is based by the five of wands, indicating deception, trickery, and games. From this, I gather that the police have already heard untruths from someone. In the recent past, the eight of swords came up, indicating that one or both parties not only felt trapped, but was trapped in the relationship. The very best possible outcome here is the seven of pentacles, which deals in reaping what is sown. I interpret this to mean that the efforts to find this young woman will, one day, pay off. It may happen as a result of a search. The devil shows up as a factor that will come into play in the future. In this instance, he represents more bondage for one or both parties to this relationship and situation. The Devil also represents bondage and "being trapped" on mundane levels, so it is possible that instead of being discarded in a manner that a stranger would discard a victim, Michelle is behind lock and key somewhere on private property, for which a search warrent would be required in order to carry out a search. Either way, this is NOT the work of a stranger.

The Wheel of Fortune came up in the place of the fears of the person responsible for Michelle's disappearance. This person feels lucky, as if riding in the currents of a good cycle. The surrounding environment is the ace of wands, reversed. This means that there will be no new beginnings for this relationship, and fire may have played a role in the coverup of evidence. In the place of hopes, the Hermit came up, reversed. Someone is hoping that searches for Michelle will end, emptyhanded. The final outcome is the ace of swords, telling me that all of this will come to light, possibly with the help of testimony or a tip.

Afterthought: this reading ended with the ace of swords, and the suits of swords is associated with the element of Air, which rules communication. It is quite possible that cell phones and cell phone pings will help solve this crime. One more possibility; I feel strongly that the reversed Hermit represents an older, male accomplice in this woman's disappearance. There were at least two people involved.

What Happened To Lindsey Baum

I did a Celtic Cross reading to determine what happened to Lindsey Baum, and I must say, the answer, as I interpreted it was a surprise. I had initially thought that poor Lindsey was deceased, but now, I am not so sure. So this is going to be a two-parter. I will start with what the cards tell me has happened to her, and then move onto a question in another reading about her whereabouts.

The basis consists of the King of Cups, reversed, crossed by the Emporer. This is clearly two men. One is a dishonest, manipulative, liar who may drink too much or force sexual perversions on others. The other, who is in conflict with the King of Cups, is either Lindsey's father, or has a fatherly concern for her. The matters underlying this whole situation is the Page of Cups, and I perceive this to be Lindsey. In fact, the numeric value of a page is 11, and I do believe Lindsey is 11 this year. Energies flowing away from all of this are the five of wands, which represents a game being played with someone; in this case, Lindsey's mother and law enforcement. Above this, depicting the very best that can come out of this, (and this bothers me, somewhat) is the Empress, reversed. This is not a good card for the position. It tells of a either a mother who does not have Lindsey's best interests at heart, or a psuedo-mother, playing the role, and maintaining a facade, keeping the truth hidden. Another interesting factor in this reading is the appearance of both the Emporer and the Empress. It gives me hope that Lindsey is still alive. The next card, things to come, is possibly the most interesting of all..........we get the Lovers, upright. Either some news that is very telling is on the way, from a surprise source, or someone who knows something helpful makes the right choice, and gives good information to law enforcement.

At the beginning of the staff, we find the ace of wands, telling me that someone took advantage of an opportunity..........Lindsey was simply in an easy position to be kidnapped. For her environs, we have the three of cups, which tells of happiness. But too much happiness in a reading like this is not always a good sign, because once a person is deceased and reaches peace about it, we often find happiness surrounding that person. Next, in the place of hopes and fears, is judgement, reversed. This speaks to the fact that Lindsey is presumed deceased by many people. The final outcome is the Queen of Pentacles. She is a person who knows what happened, and can come forward and tell law enforcement.

This reading really makes me wonder what Lindsey's home life was like, and where her biological father stood in all of this. The initial and most clear interepretation would be that Lindsey was caught in a negative situation with a step parent or significant other of a natural parent, and was rescued by the other parent, but was all of this sufficiently studied by law enforcement? And, while walking home from the neighbor's house, how far did she get on her five minute walk home that evening?

Lindsey Baum, of McCleary, Wahsington
