How Did Teleka Patrick Get Into Lake Charles?

Teleka Patrick, who went missing on December 5 of 2013, was recently found deceased in Lake Charles, in Indiana. It is thought that she drowned, but there are still many unanswered questions about this case. A reader asked me if I would do a reading to see what the cards would say about how it happened, and I will attempt that.

The first three cards I drew, telling me about the immediate past....before she fell into the water.....are the High Priestess, the Page of Swords, and the seven of cups. The High Priestess represents hidden purpose, and it appears that Teleka had decided upon a direction and destination, but had not shared this information with anyone. The Page of Swords is often a young person, but in this case, I think the card represents a phone call, text message, or an email that Teleka probably received on her phone. The seven of cups reversed is determination and progress. Despite the fact that she did not share her plans with anyone, she still used her phone and social media.

The next three cards, discussing the time she actually disappeared, were the five of pentacles, reversed; the nine of wands, reversed; and the Page of Cups. The five of pentacles reversed redefines her trip as an attempt to re-establish a connection with a friend. The nine of wands reversed tells us that she met with an obstacle of some kind, and this may very well have been the flat tire her car incurred. I am inclined to believe that the Page of Cups is someone who tried to help, as this card often speaks of assistance and help, but who was unsuccessful because Teleka didn't know him. He appears upside right, so I will assume he meant her no harm.

The next three cards, which give us the outcome, are Temperance, the eight of swords, and the three of cups, reversed. Temperance is balence via appropriate combinations. I think Teleka had intended to seek help with her flat tire in a safer venue than the roadside. The eight of swords is almost a picture of what happened: she lost her balence, fell into some water, and found herself trapped, somehow. The three of cups is also a "water" card, but it sometimes augers sad endings as well as different types of imbalances, physical included. I think she may have suffered from hypothermia, which would explain how she was "trapped", and finally drowned. Despite the speculations surrounding Teleka's death, I do not believe it was a suicide. This reading portrays it as an accident. Prayers to Teleka's family.

Teleka Patrick Found

Sadly, Teleka Patrick was found deceased in Lake Charles, in Porter, Indiana last week. It appears that she drowned, but there still seem to be more questions than answers, so I will follow this up with a reading about how it happened.

Ethan Hunter Bennett

Ethan Hunter Bennett disappeared from Indiana on September eleven, when his parents were out of town. Since then, no one has seen him. So the question I posed is, "what happened to Ethan, and why hasn't anyone heard from him?" We start with the Knight of Cups crossed by the eight of swords. The Knight of Cups is a young man, sentimental and very likely, romantic, and he is between the ages of nineteen and about thirty, in this case. I am thinking that this may represent Ethan. Whatever he was attempting to do before he disappeared, his heart was in the right place, and he had no idea that anyone would ever have to look for him. The eight of swords is a card of crisis followed by entrapment. Leading up to this, we have the Lovers, reversed. This tells us that Ethan had recently made a choice to end a partnership of some sort. Often, this card speaks to a romantic partnership, but not always. The eight of cups, (the second "eight" to appear in this reading) also appears in Ethan's recent past, and this card also speaks to a situation of "changing one's mind" after aquiring or acheiving something. So.....a change of heart was a major factor in this situation. In future possibilities, we find the seven of wands, which speaks of "defending one's own", as in ones's own family or property. This may mean that either Ethan, or proper clues to what happened to him, can only be found on private property somewhere, for which law enforcement will need a search warrent. The Magician reversed appears in the place of what is, or will be. I do not like to see this card here, because it clearly means that power was used for destructive ends.

In  the place of fears, we find Justice, reversed. As this case drags on, people close to Ethan are beginning to feel that it may never be solved. The Knight of Swords is in the environment, somehow; and when I first noticed this card, I thought it might represent violence done to Ethan, but now that I look harder, I think it is law enforcement. It tells me that there is at least one police officer who is very determined to see Ethan found. The four of swords comes up in the place of hopes. In this reading, it confers two messages; first, it tells us to be patient because elements of this matter cannot be rushed and things WILL become known at the right time; second, it shows a hope that Ethan will be found safe. Sadly, the reversed Magician had some very destructive designs concerning Ethan, but I will have hope. The last card is the Page of Cups, reversed. This is the card of the amateur, or the inexperienced. It also betrays deception by way of coverup. This points to someone involved enough in Ethan's circumstances to "cover" for someone. To sum up, it looks as if the answers primarily rest with a violent male, and rest secondarily with a deceptive female.

Lauren Spierer

Lauren Spierer was last seen on June 3, 2011 in Indiana. There was a request in comments from another post for a reading for her, so I will see what I can find out from the cards.

We start with the Magician reversed crossed by the ace of swords. That is interesting. The Magician upside down means an abuse of skill and power, and the ace of swords is a card of strength and often force, both in love and hate. This suggests that Lauren had an enemy, but no one has suggested that she was ever involved in anything that would bring such drastic conflicts into her life. Beneath this, we have the Page of Wands. This is activity before Lauren disappeared. The card points us south, and suggests that she had some sort of communication with whomever last saw her, prior to going missing. The next card to tell us of past events is Death. I do not like to see this here, even though the card usually does not refer to physical death. It tells us that things changed completely for Lauren on that day.

The next card, representing things that have not yet been explained, is the Knight of Pentacles. He is a young man between the ages of nineteen and forty (probably on the younger end of the spectrum) who has information of value. As he falls upright, I am not sure it is time to call him a suspect or determine that he is a foe. He could be the driver of a utility vehicle or an otherwise slow moving truck. The next card we have is the Page of Swords, which is a card of spying and sometimes, of troublemaking. There IS information concerning this that could come to light or be made public, but it will be done in a meanspirited, rather manipulative way.

In the place of fears, we have the Queen of Wands reversed. This almost always speaks to jealousy on the part of a woman. In this woman's environment, we have the six of cups, which paints a picture of a family environment for her, with children. In the place of this woman's hopes, we find the Knight of Wands, who is probably her partner and the father of the children indicated on the six of cups. And then, for the final outcome, we see the ten of swords. This does not bode well for Lauren, as the ten of swords is a card of endings, often violent endings. The situation indicated by this reading indicates that Lauren may have been targeted by a jealous woman.
