More On Phoenix Coldon

I've received a few more questions, recently, about Phoenix Coldon, a young woman who went missing in St. Louis, Missouri, in 2011; and for whom I did a reading in 2013. She is still missing, and there are still no suspects identified in her case. Specifically, I was asked to hone in on the perpetrator a bit more, and to see if there is a better way to find her than the conventional means employed by local law enforcement, to date. I decided to try a horoscope spread for this, as it can give the cards more latitude to tell their own story, giving me characters and places I would not know to ask about from the information I have been given.

The first house card is the nine of cups, which is a card of home and the comforts of home. It's presence in the first house suggests that this whole situation started where Phoenix lived, with someone she knew.....at least well enough to allow him (and it was a male) to get close enough for a conversation. The second house, of money and monetary transactions, gives us the ace of pentacles, reversed. Here we see money obtained by someone, but not in an ethical way. In the third house, of short journeys, business, and commerce, we have the King of Swords, reversed. This is interesting; court cards from the suit of swords are often law enforcement, or work in some capacity with law enforcement. This king is reversed, which makes him adversarial to Phoenix in some way. At this point, I am wondering if Phoenix had been mistaken for someone else, or if a police officer thought she had information about a crime or another person that she really didn't have.

In the fourth house, we get another "home" reference; the fourth house is the house of "home", and we have the four of wands, which is a card of harvest, celebration, and happiness. It also speaks to property, which plays a role here. The four of wands also represents a "haven", and it was necessary to get Phoenix away from her haven. The next card, in the fifth house, of love affairs, pleasure, and creativity, is the Emperor, reversed. This is an immature man who isn't honest, and this card also often refers to fraud. The fraud and dishonesty here was committed by a male in his late twenties, not by Phoenix. This is followed by the ten of cups, reversed, in the sixth house, of work relationships and mundane, everyday things. When the ten of cups falls reversed in a reading we often find betrayal and loss of friendship, and finding it in the sixth house points to a matter that may have originated where Phoenix worked or attended school.....some place she frequented daily.

The seventh house, of partnerships, gives us the Knight of Pentacles. This is a young man, in his early twenties, who is not involved in Phoenix's disappearance, but is very kindly disposed toward her. Moving into the eight house, of joint finances and of matters that pertain to the practical side of partnerships, we have the Page of Wands. Often, pages are young people, students, or children, but this time, I think the Page of Wands is a message or a report. As it follows the Knight of Pentacles, it gives good testimony about him. It would almost appear that the wrong person had been suspected in Phoenix's disappearance, at one time, and has been exonerated, or is no longer a suspect.

In the ninth house, of long journeys, the law, and higher education, we have the two of swords, reminding us that Phoenix did not end up far away, and warning us that the investigation is at a standstill. This card is at an opposition with the King of Swords in the third house, and shows that the biggest problem in finding Phoenix has to do with the King of Swords. The Wheel of Fortune is in the tenth house, and this has to do with relationships with bosses and superiors; often in the workplace. Once again, we have a reference to either work or school. The eleventh house, of friends and social life, gives us the Page of Cups, reversed. This tells me that a false lead, faulty tip, or an outright lie came, at one time or another, from someone Phoenix knew casually. The last card is the ace of wands, reversed, in the twelfth house, of secrets, restrictions, and secret enemies. This shows that early on, this investigation had a false start, and has never recovered.

A question that was asked had to do with corrupt law enforcement, and the King of Swords reversed would certainly suggest this. It is also troubling to note that directly opposite him, in the ninth house, is the two of swords. This makes the stalemate suggested by the two of swords almost look deliberate. The swords also continue to point us east, but not very far to the east. In conclusion, it looks very much as if Phoenix had either witnessed a crime, or had met an unsavory new friend, and had been questioned by someone else about the crime, or the other person's whereabouts. She appears to have been a bystander, here; but the King of Swords did not think she was a bystander. Finding her rests with the reversed King of Swords, and the investigation will have to begin all over again, starting with all of Phoenix's social media and cell phone communications. I always wish I had better news in this type of reading, and I pray Phoenix is found soon.

What Happened To Aundria Bowman?

We begin with the ten of cups, reversed, crossed by the Queen of Pentacles, which
is also read reversed, here. This is a message of unhappiness at home, involving an
adult female. Lack of trust and neglected responsibilities are factors with this woman.

Beneath this we have the six of cups, which is the card of childhood memories. This
gives us a picture of a problem that actually began at the childhood home. Next, and
also preceeding the situation, we have the seven of swords, reversed. This is where
someone has taken matters into his or her own hands, and made a decision and acted
on it, for good or for ill.

The next card, explaining why Aundria is missing, is Temperance, reversed, suggesting
that Aundria and one or more family members were somehow not a good combination.
There is also a suggestion of murky, shallow water connected here, when this card falls
reversed. After this, we get the Sun, reversed. which, in this case, speaks of broken
engagements and vioded contracts. Something to keep in mind is that this is also an
"outside" card.

The Hierophant, reversed, appears in the place of fears. This was a fear of new ideas
and of an inability to control others, In a nutshell, there was fear on the part of someone
in Aundria's life of not being able to control Aundria. Following this, in the place of
environment, we have the seven of cups, reversed. Someone who knew how to impose
his or her will on others made sure Aundria disappeared. There is also a reiteration of the
suggestion of shallow water on this card. Next, we have the ten of wands, reversed. There
was some sort of treachery in the situation, and there was a fear of civil litigation. Aundria
somehow created a legal risk to the person who made her disappear. The last card is the
seven of pentacles. This is the card of waiting for the harvest; the fruit has yet to ripen on
the tree. So we should look for someone who had something material to gain from this
child's disappearance. This is also the third "seven" that has appeared in the reading. Look
for "seven" to be a significant number in some way: I think it will be a geographic factor,
such as an address or the number of miles from where Aundria was last seen, or the number
of hours it takes to drive to that place. As the seven of pentacles is a card of waiting for the
harvest, the material gain was not immediate, but happened later.

The reversed seven of swords suggests that Aundria died of lack of oxygen, as if she had been
strangled. Sometimes, the Sun in reversal suggests cloudiness; perhaps the word "cloud" in
prominent in the name of the place she can be found, or the concept of clouded sunshine.

I always hope I am wrong, or that my interpretation of the cards is incorrect whenever I get
an answer like this from the Tarot. I hope Aundria is found soon.

What Happened To Tammy Mahoney?

Tammy Mahoney disappeared in 1981, and is presumed dead. Let's see if the Tarot can give us some ideas about her whereabouts and what happened to her.

The reading starts with the five of wands crossed by the page of swords. The five of wands is trickery; someone with key information has already played games with law enforcement and given deliberately misleading information. This person feels, somehow, more powerful, by withholding information. It's a bit like "owning" the situation. The incident in the past, leading up to this, involves traveling on a road that forked; the two of wands indicates a road that goes north/south for this. There is already a feeling that Tammy did not travel much further than the fork in the road. The next card is the Page of Pentacles. reversed. This indicates a difference of opinion Tammy had with someone, but to Tammy, it was not terribly important. Her companions that evening may have felt differently. The next card appears to describe a person involved in Tammy's disappearance. The Emperor, reversed, gives us an adult male who is immature for his age and possibly still lives at home......or at least, he did in 1981. The Emperor is usually an indication of a good father and a responsible man, but when it falls reversed, it often tells of a man who is not responsible for his children, and may owe child support for more than one child. Once again, this relates to this person's situation in 1981. The next card is the eight of wands, reversed. This is jealousy and arguments, as it falls reversed, but I am thinking that it may also be trying to tell us that "eight" is an important landmark or number.

The staff give is the four of cups, reversed, in the place of fears. Here we see, once again, that the perpetrator is afraid, for some reason, to move on productively in life and grow up. This card, reversed, in any other position in a reading would tell us that this person is content, but in this position, it means that he is afraid to relax and be content. The next card we have is the Lovers, reversed. This points us toward the situation when Tammy went missing. Usually, when this card appears reversed in a position describing the people around a situation or person, it tells of parents or a family who are not in favor or a person's choice of marriage or domestic partner. Somehow, this dynamic came into the picture, here, too. This is followed up by the ace of swords, reversed, in the place of desires. This is momentary, short lived power, and someone had made it a mission and a raison d`etre to "eliminate" Tammy. The only good news I see here is that the Knight of Cups, and man in his late thirties or early forties, is still looking for Tammy. The rest of the reading does not look promising; it appears as if Tammy was murdered, very likely shot, and buried somewhere off of a highway. Hopefully, she will be found soon.

Who Killed Tracy Lynn Kirkpatrick

On March 15, 1989, seventeen year old Tracy Kirkpatrick was found stabbed to death at her Frederick, Maryland part time job at a shopping center. My question for the cards is "who killed Tracy, and will there be justice?"

The first two cards here are Temperance, crossed by the two of swords. This shows that there was a harmonious partnership and combination in Tracy's life, and the two of swords is a card of temporary truces and stalemates, so this would hardly fit in with the scenario of harmony! Unless....someone was quietly waiting for mishaps or relationship problems, in order to influence Tracy's decisions. This gives us a basic backdrop, of sorts, for exchange that led to the murder.

We find the five of cups beneath this. This is rejection and disappointment, with the rejected party failing to look at anything else. It is also cited here as a motive. The next card is the Moon, which is mystery, betrayal, deceit, and actions carried out under the cover of darkness, both literal and figurative. The ace of swords follows of the heels of the Moon, and it describes force, lots of force, both in love and hatred. This card often appears in readings about subjects who have been stabbed. Following this, we have the Hierophant. The Hierophant is the card of the conformist, and here, I think we are being told that the murderer is someone who can conform very well, and pretend to be an upstanding member of society. He has the "cover" of social approval, and over twenty-six years, has not had one worry about accountability. Not one.

The state of the investigation right now is described by the Fool, the card of beginnings. This gives us all an idea of where the investigation of Tracy Kirkpatrick's murder actually sits. It has not actually taken any direction, toward any viable suspect, and this suspect is still at large. The card which is given to describe public opinion, and the surrounding details of investigators, themselves, is the eight of pentacles, reversed. This is no surprise. When the eight of pentacles falls reversed, it speaks of lackluster work done by lazy, untalented people. The seven of swords reversed in the place of hopes shows us a snapshot of Tracy's community hoping that someone competent will one day start the process for justice in this case. The last card is the eight of cups, showing that justice will be delayed indefinitely unless the community gives the police in Maryland a lot of pressure to make an arrest.

Where Is Michaela Garecht?

In November of 1988, Michaela Garecht was outside of a store, looking for her schooter, which she had initially forgotten, and when she spotted it, was grabbed by a man reaching out of a car! Her friend went back inside the store to call for help, but the man got away, taking Michaela. I will see what a reading will tell us.

This reading begins with the five of pentacles, reversed, crossed by the three of swords. One of the sidebar references of the five of pentacles is lovers lacking a place to meet, and reversed, it would simply mean the opposite, except that the place found by these lovers would be clandestine and possibly illicit. In fact, the whole relationship might be rather illicit. But here it is, part of the basis for the question of what happened to Michaela. Crossing it is the three of swords, and this speaks to a lovers' quarrel! A quarrel involving a break-up, and possibly one party compromising the other party in some way.

So what does all this have to do with Michaela Garecht? In the background, we find the two of pentacles, which tells us that the person who actually grabbed Michaela was in the process of either of moving from one residence, relationship, or job to another; possibly all three. This person was able to mask any feelings of difficulty, and pretend that he did not have any stresses, even when he did. Following it is the Chariot, which reiterates what we've seen in the two of pentacles somewhat, but the Chariot is from the major arcana, while the two of pentacles is a minor arcana card. This tells me that the circumstances of change in this person's life were not his choice, but imposed upon him, either by circumstances, or by other people. There is also an air of hunter/hunted and chasing down quarry here. Revenge is sometimes indicated with this card, too. This man was hunting.

The next card is the two of swords. The hunting trip, despite it's success, somehow did not proceed as planned. The perpetrator was actually spooked into indecision for a short time by something. That "something" may have been law enforcement, or threats of law enforcement, judging by the predominance in this reading of cards from the suit of swords, and the three of swords in particular. The perpetrator may have had to hide or "lay low" for a few days in order to avoid getting noticed. What comes next is what bothers me the most in this reading: the ten of swords. This is a violent card, describing a violent end. I wish there was some better news, here.

The Emperor shows up in the fears of the perpetrator. He is a person who is afraid of parents, particularly fathers. Something that others see in the perpetrator, and remember about him, is that he mooches, almost never truly pays his own way in life, and has trouble working at any job......so says the six of pentacles, reversed. Following this is the ten of wands, reversed, suggesting that the perpetrator may have won a lawsuit using false testimony or fake evidence, or may have committed fraud and gotten away with it. The last card is the King of Wands, reversed. This suggests a bitter, stubborn, violent man who must have everything his own way. He is between the ages of fifty and sixty, (give or take a couple of years) and had reddish or blond hair as a young man. The suggestion of the reading is that he is still at large. Perhaps that is why the cards have focused on him so much in this reading. The swords seem to be pointing east, for a location for Michaela, as that is the direction of air. Also, the reversed six of pentacles suggests that Michaela may have initially been buried, but the geology of the area somehow changed. It is not possible to get an address from the Tarot, but it does not appear that Michaela was taken far away. I would expect that she is still within the general area, near Hayward California.

Kelsie Jean Schelling

What happened to Kelsie Jean Schelling, and where is she? It has been two years since she was last seen, in Pueblo, Colorado. She disappeared on February 4, 2013, and her car was found a week later.

The reading starts with the basis of the eight of swords, crossed by the Queen of Pentacles. This beginning already looks like the story of being trapped somewhere; the Queen here is a dark haired woman, possibly Kelsie, herself. The eight of swords is a card of forced inertia....inability to move in any direction. As a location, a run-off stream or drainage pond is suggested. I would expect to find a few buildings nearby, but not close enough to see the water clearly.

Beneath this, as a precursor of the action that led to this situation, we have the Page of Pentacles. Pages are sometimes messages, sometimes ideas, and sometimes young people. I think that the card is referring to the last phone call she made, or the last message she left, when she parked her car in Pueblo. Someone she knew was even anticipating her call. This is followed by the Emperor. The Emperor is the "father" card in the Tarot, and this is a person whose actions here were motivated by the energies associated with fatherhood. It is noted that Kelsie was about eight weeks pregnant at this time, so it is possible that the Page of Pentacles has a double meaning as a message/phone call and Kelsie's pregnancy. The next card is the two of swords, which is a stalemate. There was a disagreement over something, and no compromise was reached. And....I do not like what I see next; the ace of swords. Someone forced his will in the disagreement.

The staff appears to show us how the perpetrator thinks in this case. It starts with his fears; represented by Justice. This person is worried about justice. It's another card I do not like to see in
this position, because it's telling us that there is someone out there who is concerned about
getting "found out". The next card, describing this person's actions and surroundings, is the seven of swords, reversed. He made sure that he left no clues in any obvious place. The next card is the Page of Wands, reversed. This represents bad news, and it is in the place of fears, so it means that this person is deeply worried about the news that information has been discovered about Kelsie. And the last card is the Empress. This card often appears in a reading for a pregnant woman, or for a mother. The Emperor also appeared in this reading. I think we can safely assume that parental energies played a role in the dynamics. Also, instruction and possibly counsel are alternative meanings of the seven of swords when it falls reversed. In addition to a suggestion that the perpetrator has "lawyered up" already, it's quite possible that one other person, besides the perpetrator, knows what happened to Kelsie, and may have even assisted in some small way and left evidence behind. There is also a woman pushing very hard for Kelsie to be found, another double meaning here; this time, the Empress. Also, with the Empress, I am getting a picture of seeds and planting...perhaps that somehow becomes a factor in finding Kelsie. The strongest compass direction I see in this reading is east, suggested by the heavy presence of swords.  I wish the outlook had been more positive. I will keep Kelsie in my prayers.

How Can Morgan Martin Be Found?

Morgan Martin has been missing since July of 2012. I got a request for an update, not too long ago, and I decided that the question should be, "how can Morgan be found?"

The first three cards, representing the past, are the eight of pentacles, reversed; the three of swords, and the nine of wands. I hate to see the eight of pentacles reversed in answer to this question, because it means that someone whose job and skills are specifically to find Morgan have not done so, and have been a bit derelict or inexpert. It is followed by the three of swords, which screams infighting and political problems within a community or organization. So we have disagreements among professionals about finding missing teens, such as Morgan Martin. It's followed by the nine of wands, which describes waiting. There is also an air of preparing, on someone's part, for a different approach.

The three cards I drew for the present are the five of pentacles, reversed, the Magician, and the World. The looks much more hopeful; the five of pentacles reversed tell us that someone will be able to look at this case with "new eyes" and actually find some useful clues. The magician is someone who is an expert in the field. When he shows up in a reading, that means that skilled help is available, and that is what is needed here. The world is a "success" card....also a "completion" card. When this card appears, we often see movement is a matter that has been dragging, so it is a good card to see for Morgan's case.

For the future, I drew the Page of Wands, reversed, the Page of Swords, reversed, and the four of swords, reversed. This is a message I do not like. The Page of Wands reversed is bad news, plain and simple. It may represent the one piece of information about this case that no one wants to hear, but a possibility that everyone, by this time, understands. The card is followed by the Page of Wands, also reversed. This is a person, and as the card is reversed, this person is lying, and probably has been lying all along. He knows where to find Morgan, and instead of just telling the truth, has lied and gotten away with it, so far. The last card is the four of swords, reversed, which tells us that there will be some sudden action on the part of the upside down Page of Swords, where before, there had been inaction. Something will make him nervous enough to try to run, or move away. Swords also have a lot to do with spoken words, and as we have seen the Magician appear in this reading, I think spoken words, in the form of testimony, will help solve this case. Either the Magician is already hot on Page's trail, or he puts together a case based on tips, or testimony from someone with information....that is how I see Morgan's case getting resolved. Don't give up.

Kara Kopetsky

Kara Kopetsky, of Belton, Missouri, was last seen at her school on May 4, 2007. She was initially listed as a runaway by law enforcement, but it has been seven years....an awfully long time for a runaway to stay hidden. So I will put the obvious questions to the Tarot.

We begin with the seven of swords, reversed, crossed by the eight of swords. The seven of swords generally denotes a theft, or an effort that is incomplete due to lack of ability or resources....the subject is attempting to take or do something he or she does not have a right to take or do. But here, it is reversed, but crossed by the eight of swords, a card of entrapment and restraint. What this gives us is a picture of someone who THOUGHT he or she could either take or get away with something, but actually couldn't. It was tried, though. The background for this is the King of Wands, who is an unyielding older male whose advice should have been followed, and the six of cups, a card of childhood and memories. So a deeper picture of a conflict here has to do with being a child vs. being an adult, and being recognized as an adult. Somehow, and I am not sure where this fits.....a yellow cat seems to be part of the scenario.

Above this, we have the Empress, who is the mother in this situation. Kara's mother is still looking for her, and will not stop until Kara is found. And a future event is Judgement, which is a renewal of search efforts for some reason, possibly an overlooked clue suddenly come to light. As a physical location and event, this card would literally depict an object suddenly being revealed in water deep enough for hidden objects, such as a lake or a reservoir. The swords point us east, yet not east.....once again, the seven is reversed. I would expect the answer to lead us somewhere rather close to where Kara was last seen, within thirty miles.

The Emperor appears at the base of the staff; he is a male with authority in this case, and if not Kara's father, has an air of fatherly authority. He is upside right, so I will assume he is kindly disposed toward Kara, and looking for her, as is her mother. The six of pentacles appears in the place of environment, lending an element of "you get what you pay for", or "give and take" to this situation. Did someone perceive Kara as owing money? Was some sort of blackmail involved here? This card points to a trade or an exchange as having taken place between Kara and someone immediately before she disappeared. The next card is a card of regret: the five of cups. The regret is not on Kara's part, however; it is on the part of the last person to see her. While this person would be a man, I am not seeing a romantic relationship. In fact, the nature of the acquaintance between Kara and this person may have been the source of tension between Kara and the King of Wands. But the five of cups speaks to regret and loss, things that were not intended. It is also another water card. The last card we have is the Moon. The Moon is often psychic knowledge, but can also indicate deception and can tie into the aspect of that which is hidden by the High Priestess. We can be quite certain that Kara probably did not run away from home, but encountered some very bad circumstances that were covered up and well hidden. As a physical location, the Moon is also a watery card, specifically in a place where the reflection of the moon can be seen on the water.

I wish this reading could have given us a more positive outlook. I always advise not to ever give up or stop looking for a missing person until he or she is found.

Using Divination For Locations

Some asked me this question, in relation to Sierra Lamar, and it deserved more than just a short answer, so I got longwinded and wrote an entire post about it! Here's the question: "Can u pinpoint a high area of interest where her body is? Juli do u ever use forsenic astrology or look at other site as reference?"

Once in awhile I look at charts to hone in on a location, event, or person, but forensic astrology is still in it's infancy......inasmuch as interpretations go, anyway......and it seems to be more useful to me in determination of specific elements, rather than exact spots. By that I mean that I would expect a chart for that day to tell me what type of situation Sierra ended up in, and with whom. The cards actually serve me better in terms of exact locations, and in this case a card that we keep seeing, in almost every reading I have done for Sierra, is the four of wands. Other cards that have come up more than once are the eight of swords and the six of cups. The four of wands is a card of celebrations and happy occasions, and as a location it would describe a park or a place where people would gather for family parties. If this card were to point in a direction, it would be slightly to the south, as wands are fire, and the direction of fire is south.

Another card that shows itself frequently in these readings is the eight of swords. Most decks picture the eight of swords with a literal "damsel in distress" trapped in shallow water, surrounded by eight swords. The meaning of this card is a state of having been physically or mentally "trapped" in some way, and often it appears in readings about missing persons to tell us that the missing person, or important clues, can be found in shallow water. Finding such clues is almost never easy, however; as there is a almost always a problem with being "stuck". East is the direction that swords would take us, yet as the card is a card of being trapped or stuck, I would not expect the subject to move very far. So we have a general direction of southeast, but not very far from the general area from where Sierra disappeared.

To look at the six of cups, which we have also seen more than once in readings for Sierra, we get a picture of children playing. Cups represent water, which brings water back into the answer. Not deep water; a pond, shallow lake, creek, or small river. Situational meanings for this card usually include memories and childhood, but when it describes a location it is often an park, playground, or school. I would lean toward a park here because of all the water symbolism we have already seen, and I would expect the park or recreational area to have water for fishing or boating. A reservoir is also a possibility. Cups and water take us west, which brings up the possibility that Sierra's assailant took her one direction, water and elements may have taken her another. Other cards that have come up as clues have been the three of pentacles, the ace of pentacles, and the ten of pentacles, although the ten is almost always reversed. Pentacles point north, but in this case, I think they are telling us that the suspect's workplace either has clues, or that he did not move to far from work for most of his activities.

Another aspect of this is the court cards, which tell us about others involved, and this is where forensic astrology is also often helpful. There has been an adult female referenced in many of the readings for Sierra, and I honestly believe that at least one or two other people know more about Sierra's case than they have let on. This is also why I think Sierra will be found; I think a witness after the fact, or someone who knows a lot about the case will be able to put the information together and find her.

Molly Miller

Molly Miller, of Oklahoma, disappeared on July 7, 2013, and has still not been found. Since we have almost reached the year anniversary mark, I have done a reading for her.

The foundation is the eight of swords, crossed by the Queen of Swords. This is a clear message of having been trapped and unable to escape. Swords corresponds symbolically to air, which rules communication, and the Queen of Swords either was unable to locate Molly or respond to Molly's last attempt at communication. As the Queen is not terribly well disposed toward Molly, efforts to respond to Molly at the time of her last cell phone call may not have been seriously attempted. Beneath this, we find the Sun, reversed. This indicates cancelled plans. Following this, we have the seven of pentacles, also reversed, which tells us that the cancelled plans concerned money that was either promised or owed, but not paid. The next card we find is the nine of cups, reversed, and when I find it in a reading such as this, it often means that indulgence in drugs or alcohol was a factor. This six of swords reversed follows, telling us that there was no way out of the situation. Inasmuch as the cell phone call was concerned, a clear signal was also a problem.

The first card on the staff, involving fears, is the three of swords, reversed. One of the meanings carried by this card is confrontation with someone who has either been threatened or compromised in some way by the subject of the reading, so we have someone who feels that he or she has been compromised by Molly, and Molly realized that she should not have been where she was. The next card, describing what was observable about Molly at the time she made her unsuccessful phone call is the three of cups, reversed, which is another reference to overindulgence in either drugs or alcohol; and also a reference to endings. In the place of hopes, we have the hierophant, which is tradition and a hope that things will somehow get "back to normal". Sadly, the rest of the reading does not support this. The last card is Judgement, reversed, which supports that things will not be renewed in such a manner that they "get back to normal". I wish it looked different, but that is what I see.

There are a lot of water cards in this reading, and "air" cards that reference water. As a direction, this would point us to the west, but as the six of swords is reversed, I don't think there is significant distance in any direction concerning Molly's location. I think all clues can be found within a three mile distance of where she was last seen. The sun, reversed, is also disturbing in this reading, it makes me wonder if clues are "under the sun", so to speak, but buried or hidden just a little; not enough to have taken a lot of time or effort on the part of the person hiding evidence. At this point, it appears that because of electronic communications and unusual law enforcement decisions, a lot is already known about this case that has been swept under the rug. I hope Molly is found soon, despite all of this.

Teleka Patrick

Teleka Patrick has been missing from Michigan, since December 5 of 2013. She had recently graduated from medical school, and was reported missing when she did not show up for work. Her car was later found in Indiana, but no sign of her. There has also reportedly been no activity in her bank account and no email or social network activity.

To the question of what happened to her and where; this is what the cards have to say. The reading begins with the ace of wands crossed by the Chariot. The ace is a new beginning or a new enterprise. Following this new beginning provided the circumstances her to disappear. The chariot provides a vehicle for following our dreams, or sometimes on mundane levels as a simple car; but in this case, something misfired. The promise represented by the ace of wands cancelled out by the Chariot getting pulled in two different directions. The seven of cups appears reversed beneath this, indicating that there was an agreement or a plan in the beginning.

The three of swords appears as one of the last things that happened before Teleka disappeared. This card, when upside right, often tells us about lovers' quarrels and break-ups. It also appears quite often in readings concerning divorce, but Teleka was not married. We can safely assume that an emotional disagreement took place between Teleka and someone else. The Hermit appears as a possible result of these events, and he is usually seeking wisdom and answers. As he is in the position of what should have happened, it looks as if Teleka should have done more research about the person or persons of her acquaintance, or about her new ventures. I feel that someone actually suggested more research and information, too. The next card we see is the two of swords, which represents a grudging compromise, or a stalemate.

In the place of fears, we see the Queen of Cups. This is a sensitive, emotional woman. She is using her heart as her guide. In the place of environment, we have the ten of cups, which is a card describing balence, success, happy family environment, and friendship. This element is part of her current whereabouts. In the place of hopes, the five of cups appears. So far, there has been no direct suggestion that this woman is no longer with us, but the five of cups upside right hints strongly at regret. It is followed by the King of Swords, reversed, whose conflict with the Queen of Cups was cruel and unexpected. He is the person who can tell us more about what happened to Teleka. As he is represented by Swords, he could be in law enforcement or the legal profession......if he is in medicine, I would expect him to be more involved in something that is as non-personal as possible, as he would lack a bedside manner.

Water is strongly suggested as a location in this reading. There are four cards from the suit of cups, and three from swords. Cups are water, swords are air, but the two of swords in the Ryder Waite deck has a sea in the background, representing temporarily stilled emotions. Because of all of these water references, I am inclined to say water has a lot to do with Teleka's current location. The best advice for finding her in this reading is the Hermit, and his advice to Teleka to slow down, check references, and learn more. Check with everyone who may have spoken with her about personal matters during the week or so before her disappearance. Someone who spoke with her can offer clues, but does not realize it yet.

Randy Leach

Randy Leach, seventeen, was last seen in Northeast Kansas, at a party, at 2:30 AM on April 16, 1988. Reportedly, he had been drinking at the party, but that still does not explain his disappearance. I will see what the Tarot will reveal.

The reading starts with the four of cups, reversed, crossed by the Knight of Swords. As events leading up to this, we have the two of swords and Temperance, reversed. The four of cups reversed tells us of a new, but fleeting interest Randy had in someone he met that night. This is crossed by the Knight of Swords, and I do not like to see this, because this card often represents a violent event or a violent man. The two of wands is a card of partnership, and sometimes of joint ownership of properties and businesses. It's possible that it relates to the owners of the home where the party was held. Temperance reversed confirms that alcohol was involved, unfortunately.

The next two cards are court cards, and they are the King of Wands, reversed, and the Queen of Wands, also reversed. This is a couple who were not kindly disposed toward Randy that night. When the King of Wands falls reversed, we often find that he stated negative intentions prior to acting on them. The Tower follows, in the place of fears. This is a card of ruin, and as it shows up as a fear, Randy was aware of danger; for this reason I think we can dispense with any notion that he ran away from home willingly. He knew that he had suddenly found himself in a very vulnerable position with these two people. In the place of environment, we have the Page of Pentacles, reversed. When upright, this card often represents a message of some sort, and I think it's appearance upside down tells us that someone is still trying to make sure that no message, or tip, concerning Randy's whereabouts is ever conveyed. As a direction, pentacles would point north, and their element is earth, yet this card is reversed. I think Randy is still somewhere very close to where he was last seen. Also, material resources, and the preservation of same, are somehow connected to keeping the secret. Next, we find the eight of pentacles, which is the card of employment and learning skills. This is a hope that is connected to the secrecy represented by the reversed Page of Pentacles; somehow, someone was protecting his or her employment and livelihood. The reading ends with the eight of wands; staffs flying through the air, over an open field. This describes something quite accidental that leads to a clue that helps to find this young man. I wish the reading could have been more positive.

Update For Daniel James O'Keeffe

Daniel James O'Keeffe is still missing, and someone asked for some pinpointed information, and I will do my best. The question had to do with where O'Keeffe is located, and when he will be found.

The first three cards, the past, are the Knight of Pentacles, reversed, the Queen of Pentacles, reversed, and the three of swords, also reversed. When the Knight of Pentacles falls reversed, he often describes carelessness or laziness on the part of a young man. This knight is also accompanied by the queen of the same suit, also reversed. When the Queen of Pentacles falls reversed, we often see a woman whose duties are neglected and who is overly dependent on others for resources. These two are a couple. Unfortunately, one of them has compromised the other, as indicated by the next card, which is the three of swords, reversed.

For the present, we have the nine of swords, reversed; Death, and the eight of swords, reversed. The nine of swords reversed tells always of worry, but sometimes of false imprisonment and of being literally trapped in a situation or a location. Death generally does not refer to physical death, but to a major change, which would be happening either now or very soon. Sometimes, it does refer to death; but that is only a message that is given when all parties are able use the information for growth and understanding. The eight of swords follows this, and this card is also reversed. Upright, it also refers to a state of being trapped, somehow; reversed, it means quite the opposite. These three cards tell a story segment of having been trapped in a place or in a situation, but a very major change turning the situation around. I will keep my fingers crossed that it is for the positive.

The future gives us the five of swords, reversed, which is vengeance and possibly, defeat of some kind. Who wanted revenge on Daniel? The King of Pentacles also figures here, and since he is upside right, I will assume he means Daniel well. He is, for good or for ill, involved in finding Daniel, but Daniel is not entirely keen on this, for reasons that are not entirely clear. The last card here is the six of pentacles, reversed, which indicates money owed somewhere. This may be how the King of Pentacles figures; Daniel....or James, if he is called James, needs to be aware that he is safe if he comes home.

It is hard to lay a time estimate on events described in reading; what I call soon may be what others call distant. What the Tarot calls soon may be centuries from what we call soon, but the three cards for the "present" in this reading showed some changes either now, or very "soon", (there's that word, again!) so I would not give up on this case.

Richard Cody Haynes

What could possibly have happened to Cody Haynes, who disappeared in September of 2004? He was eleven when he went missing, and now he would be twenty. The image on the far right of the poster is a computer generated image of how Cody would look as an adult.

This reading starts with the King of Swords crossed by the Knight of Swords. Yikes! Two males of the suit of swords! Luckily, they are both upside right, so I think they can be linked to the investigation. Law enforcement and the judicial system are often represented by court cards of the suit of swords, and it's element is air. So we know that the investigation is still open, and even if it seems like a lost cause, someone in an investigative position is still earnestly looking for Cody Haynes.

Beneath this is Judgement, which tells us not to give up, a conclusion will be reached. Water is also indicated on this card, as a physical location. But this is in the past, as the reason the King and Knight of Swords are looking for Cody, in the first place. The opposing forces in this matter, also drifting into the past, are represented by the High Priestess, who speaks of things that are hidden. She also deals in water, as it hides things from time to time, and on less physical levels, represents the subconscious. Another "watery" card we find, in possible conclusions for this case, is the Page of Cups. This is a message, or a tip to law enforcement, from a young person, and the message comes from the heart. The element of cups is water, once again. Something we must recognize though, is the reality represented by the eight of swords, which tells us that Cody did not reappear because he was trapped somewhere. Water is part of the imagery of the Ryder-Waite eight of swords, and taking this card at literal, face value, we would see a suggestion that Cody may be trapped in shallow water somewhere.

Another Page that comes up in this reading is the Page of Swords, representing the fears of the person who knows what happened to Cody, yet has not come forward. There may be a witness, or an accomplice after the fact, who is young and has the answers law enforcement seeks. The five of swords comes up as a picture of what happened to Cody. This card is a card of violence, and sometimes of revenge. This is followed by another five, the five of wands, which is in the place of the perpetrator's hopes. Someone here is hoping to get away with playing games with the investigation and those who are looking for Cody. Also, deception is the main message when these two cards appear together in a reading. The nine of pentacles concludes the reading, and this card, in a reading such as this, tells of accomplishment. I think we will find, sadly, that Cody suffered violence for no reason, and that water plays a role in keeping him hidden.

Toni Heartsong

Bob and Toni Heartsong lived in Florida, and were married for almost twenty-seven years when Bob came home one evening and found Toni brutally murdered. After about eight years, the state of Florida charged Bob with Toni's murder, but Bob was later acquitted. At this point, there are no additional suspects, and Toni Heartsong's murder remains unsolved. The question I have posed is "Who killed Toni Heartsong, and why?

The general atmosphere is described by the Sun, reversed, crossed by the Emperor. Here we have a good situation, albeit not entirely perfect, with a fatherly male influence. In this case, the person represented as the fatherly male influence was somewhat exasperated, as was Toni, with the matter that eventually led to this murder. As a founding circumstance and attitude on the part of someone involved, the four of cups appear. This is ingratitude and dissatisfaction. Someone expected more of Toni, and possibly Bob, somewhere along the line, than they felt they should give. The whole matter seems to have drifted into the past at this point; we get the Hanged Man, reversed, to tell us this. When the Hanged Man appears reversed, this usually means n unwillingness to sacrifice, especially for the greater good, such as within a family, but sometimes it simply means egotism; but in the same vein: one's preoccupation with ego is more important than any team or community. Thus describes a large part of the motivation for the murder. It was rather personal.

The card describing the ultimate goal of the murderer is the ten of swords, which is a very violent card. It also speaks of abrupt and final endings, so to see this card in the goals and plans of the murderer tells us that this murder was premeditated. The next card is the eight of swords, which is entrapment with no escape. Toni was cornered after her routine or schedule was learned by someone. The card describing the perpetrator's fears is the eight of pentacles, which is the card of the apprentice. Something this person did not want to do was start all over again in a new job, or begin to train for one. In fact, this person really didn't want to take the time and trouble to learn work related skills at all. The eight of wands, reversed, describes the family atmosphere. This is jealousy and domestic problems. In the place of hopes, we have the Hierophant, which is tradition, and often marriage. It would appear that both Bob and Toni valued their marriage and their family relationships. The last card is a court card, and I believe it is the perpetrator; the Knight of Cups, reversed. This is a young man, somewhere between the ages of twenty-one and thirty-five or so. The Knight of Cups reversed is generally someone who is dishonest, especially in regard to business matters. This is someone who commits fraud and scams. Also, light brown hear and blue or hazel eyes are likely.

The presence of three eights is significant in this reading; coupled with the four of cups as a founding circumstance, it would appear that someone wanted Toni to help finance and idea or venture, and she determined that it was not a good risk. The eights refer to mastery, and they have come up in places that bring mastery and ability on the part of the victim as underlying causes for her murder. Could someone have gotten angry with her for seeing through a fraud and wanted revenge? A lot of speculation has focused on Bob, but according to this reading, the murderer was younger than Bob.

Kathryn Adam

Kathryn Adams disappeared in April of 1993, while working for Leggs as a delivery person. She disappeared in Salina, Kansas after visiting a Kwik Stop where her image was caught on a security camera. That was the last known sighting of her; the van she was driving turned up at a restaurant that was closed for remodeling.

The reading starts with the seven of swords crossed by the King of Swords. This speaks to legal matters; the seven of swords is a card that usually describes the attempt to take more than one can handle, or take something that does not belong to one. The King of Swords is often a policeman, lawyer, or judge, or a man of authority connected to law. In this case, he was well disposed toward Kathryn, and was trying to stop her from something either unnecessary or unwise. As a bit of background, we get the nine of swords, which is worry, and lots of it. The cause of this worry is the Sun, reversed, which speaks of home, marriage, and family in a state of upheaval or unrest. In possible outcomes for the matters weighing on Kathryn's mind when she disappeared, the seven of pentacles appears, reversed. The message here is that Kathryn was about to be forced to part with something, or with money, for which she had worked hard, and she did not think it was just and fair. The next card is the ten of cups. Usually, the ten of cups is a wonderful card, but in answer to the question about Kathryn's missing persons case, I find it troubling. It bespeaks an ending here, in specific, an ending to a family situation or marriage, without the marriage actually having to end.

The first card on the staff is judgement, reversed. As it falls in the place of fears, this card's clear message is the fear of death. The next card, depicting an important feature of Kathryn's surroundings at the time, is the Queen of Wands. This would be a woman over the age of seventeen with reddish hair (possibly dyed) and an impulsive nature. She is not reversed, so at the moment, I think she is friend, rather than foe. In the place of hopes, we find the Wheel of Fortune, reversed, which tells us that in addition to family problems, Kathryn somehow found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time. The last card is the ace of wands, reversed, which is a dealing that did not materialize, or turn out the way Kathryn had anticipated.

Two sevens appeared in this reading, and it seems plausible that they may refer to a route number or a place. The pentacles point north, but are reversed here, and the swords point east. Seven, ten, and twenty seem to be significant numbers; between seven and twenty miles to the east, then off the beaten path a bit. The Sun has shown up reversed, and when I asked why Kathryn disappeared, I drew the Moon, which, in this case, speaks of mistrust and dishonesty. Also, these two cards together in a reading often refer to outdoors, "under the sun", or "in moonlight".

Update For Sierra Lamar

There was a recent request for a reading for Sierra Lamar, who disappeared a year ago, with a focus on what Sierra was thinking at the time this happened, and possibly, the cause of death. I can certainly try this, and see what the Tarot has to say about those things.

This is rather a disturbing reading. It starts with the Emperor crossed by Temperance. The Emperor is the "father" card of the Tarot, and as he falls reversed here, I am going to assume that he is favorably disposed toward Sierra. Temperance is a card of good combinations and relationships, so it would seem that Sierra's father or someone who served as a father figure in her life had recently given Sierra some advice concerning boyfriends, drugs, or underage drinking. Beneath this, we find the six of swords, upside down. When this card falls upright, it is a card of travel. We see it reversed, here, which means that Sierra did not travel far, if at all, on the last day she was seen alive. It also tells of situations that have no escape, and it looks as if she was warned by her father about this particular possibility. The World also appears in Sierra's past, immediately before she disappeared. She had apparently just decided to do something that she saw as a positive step, or move, in her life. The five of swords overpowered her, though. Anger and revenge were involved. The Page of Wands appears as a message she was waiting to read or hear, but never got to see. Perhaps this was when her phone was taken from her. It seems that Sierra's last thoughts had to do with texts, messages, communication, and probably her phone.

The Hirophant, a card of tradition and sometimes of marriage, figured heavily into Sierra's fears. This is a bit unexpected, because Sierra was so young. The Knight of Cups, a romantic contact, occupied her thoughts. The Queen of Swords, reversed, was another aspect of Sierra's fears. There was a feminine influence here. The Queen of Swords reversed is intolerant and violent. The placement of all the cards from the suit of swords in this reading suggests strangulation or suffocation, as Swords' element is Air. Of course, the meaning could be more literal and suggest actual knives, too, but I tend to think strangulation. Justice, reversed, falls as the final outcome. Excessive severity, unjust punitive actions, and injustice in general is the meaning here. Sierra had either overstepped a boundery, or was perceived to have done so, and someone (or possibly two someones....a male and a female) about whom the Emperor had warned her decided to seek revenge. It does not appear that Sierra expected this, or saw it coming.

Garnell Monroe Moore

Missing Since: August 2002 from Baltimore, Maryland
Classification: Endangered Missing
Date of Birth: May 18, 1995
Age: 7 years old

Garnell Monroe Moore was last seen in 2002, but as he often lived with different relatives, everyone thought he was with someone else until 2005, when he was finally reported missing. Here is a reading about him.

This reading starts with the Chariot crossed by the Empress. The chariot generally represents the balencing of opposite forces to move productively of the physical plane in one direction. That is why cars and other modes of transportation are often indicated by this card. Here it is crossed by the Empress, which is the "mother" card of the tarot. so we have efficient movement either by, to, or away from the natural mother. This is founded by the three of cups, which is often and ending to something that should have been happy, and sometimes a card of overindulgence.....often in alcohol or drugs. An event in the past is the Page of Wands, who is an active and verbal child; possibly Garnell. The realm of possibilities is represented by the seven of cups, which is telling us that too many choices have been offered here. Since the only choices that have been offered are possibilities as to what happened to Garnell, it can be safely surmised that someone has deliberately offered too many choices, in an attempt to deceive and to keep Garnell from being found. Who would do this? The next card says it was the Queen of Wands, reversed. This woman is jealous, loves to fight and argue, and scares people with her forcefulness. No one wants to stand up to her.

We find the Knight of Pentacles in the place of fears. This is a man who is quiet, but who will not let the memory of Garnell go. He is someone who is an adult, yet under the age forty-five, who really wants to know what happened to Garnell. For environment, we get the five of swords, reversed. There is an element of "vengence" or "revenge" at play, the the reversed Queen of Wands would be well advised to understand this. Not everyone is buying her story. The nine of swords, reversed, comes up in the place of hopes and fears, and the message there is simple: someone is worried about going to prison for this. One of the meanings of this card, especially reversed, is imprisonment. The final card is the King of Swords, reversed, who is not pleased with the reversed Queen of Wands, whom we met earlier. As soon as enough evidence is gathered, the Queen can expect the judical system to deal harshly with her. Sadly, I think the reversed three of cups tells us what happened to Garnell. I think he accidently ingested too much of a medicine, such as a cough syrup, or died from some sort of neglect.

Lauren Spierer

Lauren Spierer was last seen on June 3, 2011 in Indiana. There was a request in comments from another post for a reading for her, so I will see what I can find out from the cards.

We start with the Magician reversed crossed by the ace of swords. That is interesting. The Magician upside down means an abuse of skill and power, and the ace of swords is a card of strength and often force, both in love and hate. This suggests that Lauren had an enemy, but no one has suggested that she was ever involved in anything that would bring such drastic conflicts into her life. Beneath this, we have the Page of Wands. This is activity before Lauren disappeared. The card points us south, and suggests that she had some sort of communication with whomever last saw her, prior to going missing. The next card to tell us of past events is Death. I do not like to see this here, even though the card usually does not refer to physical death. It tells us that things changed completely for Lauren on that day.

The next card, representing things that have not yet been explained, is the Knight of Pentacles. He is a young man between the ages of nineteen and forty (probably on the younger end of the spectrum) who has information of value. As he falls upright, I am not sure it is time to call him a suspect or determine that he is a foe. He could be the driver of a utility vehicle or an otherwise slow moving truck. The next card we have is the Page of Swords, which is a card of spying and sometimes, of troublemaking. There IS information concerning this that could come to light or be made public, but it will be done in a meanspirited, rather manipulative way.

In the place of fears, we have the Queen of Wands reversed. This almost always speaks to jealousy on the part of a woman. In this woman's environment, we have the six of cups, which paints a picture of a family environment for her, with children. In the place of this woman's hopes, we find the Knight of Wands, who is probably her partner and the father of the children indicated on the six of cups. And then, for the final outcome, we see the ten of swords. This does not bode well for Lauren, as the ten of swords is a card of endings, often violent endings. The situation indicated by this reading indicates that Lauren may have been targeted by a jealous woman.

How Can Sierra Lamar Be Found?

As a bit of an update to the readings I have done for Sierra Lamar, I decided to ask the Tarot how she can be found. Unfortunately, this case is dragging. I drew three cards for the past here, and those are the two of pentacles, which speak of difficulties with new projects, the Knight of Pentacles, reversed....an olive complected male with dark hair and eyes; I believe this is the suspect who has been charged, and the eight of pentalces, reversed. Either the suspect's former workmates need to be questioned one more time, or the premises of the suspect's former job, and the surrounding areas, need to be searched again.

For the present, I drew the Queen of Wands, who has shown up in earlier readings about Sierra, the King of Wands reversed, and the six of cups reversed. The Queen here is a woman who probably has blond or strawberry blond hair and is working hard to find Sierra. The reversed King is a man who's efforts are countering her efforts, and effectively stalling her. The six of cups reversed represents outworn ideas for solving cases like this, that have worked in the past, but will not work now. The King of Wands is not allowing the Queen to use her instincts to get at the truth.

In the future, we get the seven of swords, reversed; the six of pentacles, reversed, and the five of wands. The seven of swords reversed speaks to good legal counsel, but it is somehow met with the bad debts or unfair dealings represented by the reversed six of pentacles. The last card is the five of wands, which tells of more contradictions and games. It looks very much to me as if the suspect's former place of employment, or his former workmates, could yield the answers.
