Why Did Sierra Lamar Disappear?

A couple of weeks ago, a reader contacted me with some possible theories concerning a missing teenager named Sierra Lamar. Sierra was last seen on March 16, 2012, while waiting for the school bus. Since then, a suspect by the name of  Antolin Garcia Torres was identified, prosecuted, and convicted, yet Sierra has never been found. The reader had some questions concerning possible co-defendants and motives that have never been explored, along with places that have not been searched. I decided to do an update, asking about it.

The question I am asking is "why did Sierra Lamar disappear?" I will do a horoscope spread, which should reveal many dynamics in the situation in one reading. While the Tarot cannot give us names and addresses, per se, understand why something happened can lead us to reliable theories and clues.

We begin with the six of pentacles, reversed, in the first house of potential and the beginnings of the situation, itself. This card, reversed, refers to bad debts and bribes, both of which probably did not involve Sierra directly, as she was a minor. The second house deals with finances and possessions, we have have Temperance, here. Temperance is a blending of physical elements, or cooperation between people, so I must wonder if this refers to an agreement, or a broken agreement. Moving along to the third house, we have the four of cups, reversed. Third house significations are familial relationships, written words, and communication of all kinds. The card that landed here is the four of cups, reversed, which shows a new direction for matters to take, based upon communication. So far, it appears that there was an agreement that did not actually involve Sierra, and that there was premeditation to kidnap her, that day.

The fourth house, of environment and home surroundings, gives us the nine of swords, which is worry. This card has a double meaning: Sierra's family was and is worried, and the motive for taking her was a dark one. This is a card of grief. In the fifth house, of creativity, we have the five of swords....a card of violence and revenge. It is descriptive of the perpetrator and his perspective, and I hate to see it in the fifth house. It shows someone attempting to hurt an individual or family, and dreaming up mean spirited ways to do it. The sixth house, of known enemies and inconveniences, shows us the eight of cups, reversed, which is a card of mirth and happiness when upside down. This, too, is from the perpetrator's perspective. He did the horrible thing he attempted to do. The seventh house, of agreements and partnerships, has the Queen of Cups, reversed. I do not think this is Sierra; in fact, I think the perpetrator had problems with someone else, and just used Sierra as proverbial "punching bag". This is a woman from whom the perpetrator  experienced an imagined slight. The eighth house goes hand in hand with the seventh house, as it symbolizes the results and assets of partnerships, such as joint bank accounts or co-owned property of any kind. It also refers to death, but that is not its only signification. The card here is the Page of Cups, and I believe that is Sierra. It shows a youth who is creative and imaginative, and its placement in the eight house shows that there was something the perpetrator wanted from her, that morning, but did not get.

In the ninth house, of education and and ideals, we get the Knight of Swords, reversed, who I believe is the perpetrator. This knight often represents violence, and the coming or going of a toxic or lethal situation. It's a card I hate to see in a reading like this, and I truly hope I am wrong in my interpretations, here. The tenth house, of public matters, gives us the nine of pentacles, reversed. When the nine of pentacles falls reversed, the message is simply failure; possibly from a lack of independent ideas or input from dishonest sources. There hasn't been any new information to make public in quite some time. In the eleventh house, of hopes, wishes, and helpful people, we have the King of Cups. He would be a professional who knows what he's doing, and can help with forensic evidence and in interpreting the data that's already been given to him. The twelfth house, of secrets and endings, gives us the Queen of Swords, who is a woman, probably law enforcement at some level, who has information that has not been made public. I am encouraged to see her here, because that means that someone is still trying to solve the case.

As for where Sierra might be found, nine seems to be a significant number. The fourth house card, of environment, is the nine of swords. Nine parts, or possibly nine miles, are possible messages. Then, in the ninth house, we have the card of the perpetrator, himself, showing up as the Knight of Swords, reversed. I believe he acted alone, but in retaliation for something that might not have even happened. His whole reason for being where he was that morning was to harm someone. Then, in the tenth house, we have another nine, this one being the reversed nine of pentacles. This card is a bit troubling, since one of its meanings is a cancelled project. I believe this may have been a cancelled search in a critical area, and I hope efforts are made to double down on this in the future. I think the defendant who was prosecuted was the right person, but I think someone else, possibly a woman (the reversed Queen of Cups in the seventh house) may be holding back information that could help bring some closure.

Victor Dwight Shoemaker

On May 1, 1994, five year old Victor Dwight Shoemaker was walking with his cousins in Hampshire County, West Virginia, and that was the last time he was seen. I came across a comment with a request for a reading for this little boy, and I am going to see what the cards have to say.

We begin with the three of swords in the first house. This suggests that there were some petty squabbles going on that day, connected to Victor and the others with him. I think it's possible that there were older children who did not want a five year old with them, but ended up taking him along while they played outside. In the second house, we have the High Priestess, of all matters hidden. She is a card of secrets, and the second house represents possessions and material things that are important to either Victor or the perpetrator, here. So we have a petty squabble and something material playing a role. In the third house, of short journeys and juvenile family members, we get the four of swords. I do not like to see this here because the four of swords tells of matters that have been dormant and inactive, and this case has been unsolved for far too many years. I am going to guess that someone has answers that have not been given, yet.

The Queen of Wands appears in the fourth house, of the mother and home environment, and I am going to guess that this is Victor's mother. She never gave up, and always wanted answers. Following this, in the fifth house of creativity and children, we have the Hanged Man. This is sacrifice, and those looking for Victor have been willing to make many sacrifices over the years, in order to find him. The sixth house, of petty enemies, shows the two of swords reversed. This tells me that someone gave Victor some bad advice, or dared him to do something dangerous, and the results were deadly. There is also a suggestion of abuse, but not by one of Victor's adults.

The seventh house, of agreements and partnerships, give us the Fool, reversed. This simply shows that Victor was not in the best of hands when he disappeared. He trusted someone, and was let down. The nine of swords, reversed, appears in the eighth house. The eighth house not only tells of death, but also of the fallout of a death. There is still a lot of worry and grief connected to this, and there are people who have wished that they had spoken up immediately. The ninth house yields the ace of swords, and this is a card of extreme love or hate. The ninth house deals with dreams and ideals, and sometimes of longer journeys. I am inclined to think that there was someone who was misguided enough to feel that violence was appropriate, when it was not.

We have the Queen of Swords in the tenth house of law and justice, and as she appears reversed it is clear that she represents someone from law enforcement or the judicial system. The case is still open, and justice can still be gotten for Victor. The five of wands appears in the eleventh house of friends and casual associates, and when this card comes up, it often refers to lies and cover-ups. As it comes up in a house that speaks of friends and associates, I think this has always been bad news for the investigation. There were other young people who knew what happened to Victor, and did not speak up. The twelfth house shows the King of Cups. This is a man who is kindly disposed to Victor and would like an answer. He is willing to continue looking, and to answer questions and try to keep the investigation open.

For a location, I am getting a westerly direction, then south, then water. If a path is involved, it winds in a couple of different directions.

Does Anyone Have Knowledge After The Fact About Kyron Horman?

Kyron Horman's World Soldiers - Home | Facebook

There has been some speculation, on social media sites, about the Kyron Horman case, specifically concerning new associations of witnesses and suspects, and what they may know, or what they may have been told about the case, after the fact. Kyron disappeared from his Portland, Oregon school in June of 2010 and has not been seen since then. The main suspect has always been the former stepmother, who has since moved out of the area.I decided to put this question to the Tarot, and this is the answer that I got.

The first house gives us the seven of cups, indicating deception. Someone who has had exposure to case via the main suspect, the stepmother, has either believed untrue stories about it or has deliberately perpetrated them. To understand why this person has done this, we just go to the next card, in the second house of things that are valued by the person, and we get the ten of pentacles.....so there has been a material payout by allowing the truth to be buried. The Magician comes up in the third house, of family members and communication, so we can assume that this person has a certain amount of access to information, if he chooses to ask. And it IS a "he", as indicated by the Knight of Wands appearing in the fourth house, of home and environment!

The fifth house, which deals with children and creativity, yields the Hanged Man, reversed. This card is a card of sacrifice for the betterment of the community when upright, but reversed, it indicates selfishness and an unwillingness to help. The sixth house, of mundane enemies and inconveniences, shows the four of swords, telling us that something that was buried, or dormant, is about to be discussed openly again, possibly in the news. In the seventh house, of partnerships and often, marriage, we have the Tower, reversed. Reversed or upright, this card is a card of disruption and change. As it has fallen in the seventh house, we can assume that it has to do with a partnership of some sort. In reversal, this card often negative encounters with the judicial system.

In the eighth house, which reveals the products of the partnership of the seventh house, we see the Fool. This is a risk or a chance this person has taken. He took this risk knowingly, too. The ninth house, of ideals and educational goals, gives us the Queen of Cups, reversed. Upside right, this queen is a sensitive and caring woman, but upside down, she is a dishonest and immoral person. The tenth house, dealing with public life, reputation, and involvement with government, yields the three of cups, reversed. There has been too much of a good thing; success turns to ashes. The eleventh house, which rules organizations and casual associations, gives us the Page of Swords, reversed. This page is often a spy or snitch when he comes up reversed. The last card, the twelfth house card, is the eight of cups, reversed. This shows a process from the first card, the seven of cups upright, and the unwillingness to recognize truth to the celebration of the eight of cups, in spite of the truth. It appears that as long as there is a tangible payoff to leaving the facts buried, there will be no change brought on without a rude awakening.

Is David Anthony Durham Connected To The Kyron Horman Case?

The question of David Anthony Durham, formerly of Sauvie Island, Oregon, came up earlier this week in some online discussions about Kyron Horman, who disappeared from his school in Portland on June 4 of 2010. Durham began acting erratically, according to friends, in June of the same year, and six months or so later, got pulled over by a Lincoln City, Oregon police officer for speeding. Instead of simply signing the ticket and returning home, Durham shot the police officer and fled. Luckily, the police officer recovered, but Durham has not been seen since, and is wanted by the FBI. There have been questions, over the years, concerning whether or not Durham was involved, in any way, with Kyron's disappearance. The Tarot may be able to shed some light on this.

This is a Celtic Cross reading, because there is really just one clear answer we seek, here. We begin with the nine of wands, upside right, crossed by the five of wands, which is also read upside right. This gives a message of patience and waiting for the smoke to clear, and for the truth to come out. So far, it looks as if Durham was waiting, along with the rest of us, for Kyron to be found. Beneath this, we have the seven of swords, reversed, describing some instruction, or communication concerning Kyron's case. Perhaps Durham printed flyers with Kyron's information or handed out a few. It could also denote a plan, of some sort, with a suspect, but lets not be hasty. Moving along to another past factor, we find the five of pentacles, also reversed. This is a payment for something. We would hope that it had nothing to do with Kyron, but if it did, it could have been something as small as paying for printing flyers. Durham did do some work for a printer, at that point. We would hope it wasn't anything more.

The next card is the King of Cups, reversed. This is a violent, dishonest man who appears calm at first glance. This seems to describe Durham very well, given his crimes. Then, we find the High Priestess, telling us a little more about this unusual case. The High Priestess is a card of secrets and mystery, and it seems that some bit of secret information, perhaps that Durham did not initially want, played a role in the events that led to his erratic behavior. Did someone stop in and pick up flyers from him, and tell him some inside information about Kyron's case that he initially did not want? Could he have been friends with a suspect or an accomplice, and did that person either attempt, or succeed, in involving him?

At the base of the staff, we get the four of swords. This is not a card of death, but of rest. If I were to venture a guess based on this reading, I would say that Durham is alive at this writing. Based on the next card, describing environment, which is the eight of swords, I would say that Durham is not as free as he would seem, given his successful evasion of justice. Somehow, he is "stuck" somewhere. This may relate to his ID and passport not being renewable, or to pandemic restrictions failing to be amenable to life on the lam. The card of hopes, the next card, is the two of wands. This tells us that he is always planning his next move carefully, but in a methodical way. The last card here is the three of wands, reversed. Somehow, Durham slips up, at some point, and trusts the wrong person or gets recognized. I have not been given a time frame on this, but I suppose all good (and bad) things must come to an end!

From this reading, I really do not get an impression that Durham was involved in Kyron's disappearance. I do get an idea that he may have heard some things about it that were beyond surface knowledge, and didn't want to be involved: if he is involved, it is because he was dragged into it by another person. It also looks as if he was waiting for the truth to make itself abundant and clear. If Durham is ever found, I hope law enforcement takes the time to ask him if he heard anything, before disappearing, himself, about Kyron's disappearance.

Jackie Dene Hay

KS Missing&Unsolved - Ricky Tebrugge - FDR/CREATOR on Twitter: "PLEASE SHARE!STILL MISSING!Jackie Dene Hay(Topeka,KS) http://t.co/g7mklzedi5" / Twitter.

Jackie Dene Hay, five years old, disappeared in Topeka, Kansas in September of 1981. She was reportedly playing with other children, but did not return home. She was last seen walking away from a park. Today, she would be forty-six years old, if she was found alive. Lets see what the cards have to say about her case. I decided to use a horoscope layout for this reading, because it often offers more information, and I have never heard anything, at all, about this case.

We begin with the ace of wands, reversed, in the first house, defining the entire matter. This little girl was on her way back to her house from playing outside, and for some reason, the walk back inside just got "cancelled". The ace of wands often refers to "cancellations". The next card, in the second house, governing important material possessions, is the two of swords, also reversed. Could an adult have offered something to this little girl? Here, we have an unexpected change of direction. Something took Jackie completely off course. In the third house, of siblings and other relatives, communication, and short journeys, we have the nine of wands, reversed. The nine of wands, when if falls reversed, shows impatience and obstacles, so I am going to venture a guess that Jackie didn't keep up with the other children, and had fallen behind them, a few paces. There is usually safety in numbers, and she somehow ended up without her playmates. The fourth house card, representing the home environment, is the four of swords, reversed. In reversal, this card means renewed activity; sometimes unrest. She disappeared from somewhere very close to her family's residence.

The fifth house, of creativity, children, and entertainment, gives us the Knight of Swords, reversed. I do not like this at all, because the Knight of Swords is a rather violent card, especially upside down. This is definitely a youngish man, and he is involved in Jackie's disappearance. He very well might have known Jackie personally. This man had some unresolved anger issues, and a tendency to blame innocents, especially children, for his feelings. The sixth house, of inconvenience and and mundane annoyances, shows the four of wands, reversed. This shows an unfulfilled search, with the missing family member never found, and questions never properly addressed or answered. Upside right, this card would describe a victory lap, but upside down it shows lack of completion. It also harks back to the possible motive of the Knight of Swords: somehow, he thought his life would be easier if he harmed this child.

In the seventh house, which details partnerships, for good or for ill, we have the Knight of Cups, reversed. This is a dishonest young man, and I believe he is related to the search for Jackie. He either did not know how to conduct a search, and wasn't honest about it, or he had ulterior motives for allowing the case to remain unsolved. He was part of the effort to find Jackie. This brings me to the eighth house card, which is the seven of pentacles. While this card still describes success that has not yet been attained, it shows an effort. It is part of the outgrowth of the seventh house of partnerships, so I think that many of the clues can still be followed, if someone is willing to try.

The ninth house, of ideals, bears the two of cups, reversed. Jackie's disappearance somehow spurred some disharmony, somewhere. In addition to faulty search efforts, I see a breakdown of communication between people involved and strained relationships. In the tenth house, which governs law and legal matters, we have the Page of Swords, which represents a valid tip. This card often represents a young person, but since any witnesses to the incident would no longer be young, but middle aged, we must take that into account. Another thing this card often shows is a letter or some other type of communication, and its tenth house position is all about law enforcement. This is a sign of hope.

We have, in the eleventh house, of hopes, wishes, and friends, the eight of swords, reversed. This tells us that new beginnings are now possible; I interpret this to mean that information that can solve this case is now available, where in the past, it was not. This is a freeing up of resources and tips. In the twelfth house, of dissolution and enemies, we find the Moon, reversed. This refers to action of someone who had either planned to harm Jackie, or planned to harm a child, on that day. Sadly, this was not an accident or a spur of the moment crime, but something that was premeditated. We will hope that the case gets solved.

Afterthoughts: In musing upon clues, here, it is abundantly clear, from the appearance of the Knight of Swords, that the key to finding this little girl is in identifying the perpetrator. I really think that clues can be found very close to where she lived, at the time. I think any searches of properties to which she was connected, or visited frequently, should be repeated.

Request For Another Reading About Kyron Horman

I haven't put any new readings on this site for awhile, but there was a request for another reading about Kyron Horman, who disappeared from his school in Portland, Oregon in June of 2010 and is still missing. This reading will be a tarot reading in a horoscope spread, and we will see if the cards can shed any light on this case. My focus here is about where Kyron is, and how he can be found.

The first card, representing the first house, of the situation itself, along with all of the intentions and potential, is the five of wands, reversed. This harks back to the day Kyron disappeared; there were obstacles that the perpetrator did not foresee, and for reasons which will hopefully be explained by the rest of the reading, the cards feel that this has a bearing on the case, today. So there must be a detail that was left unattended by the perpetrator, even though no one has located Kyron. The second house, of material and practical concerns, gives us the Hierophant, reversed. The speaks to the unorthodox and strange way that this whole crime was carried out. It is also a suggestion for investigators to be open to new ways of solving crimes. It's number is five, and I think that may be significant, too., especially since the reading began with a "five". In the third house, we have the King of Swords, reversed. The third house deals with relatives and communication, and sometimes, short journeys. While said relatives represented by the third house are usually siblings, it is possible that this reversed king is an older male relative who does not wish for Kyron to be found. This could also represent law enforcement, and negligence concerning the questioning of certain relatives, and the failure to get as much information from them as possible. While the Hierophant tells us about the environment and process, the king refers to a person, or an organization made up of people, such as a police department. There is also a chance that this upside down king is actually an accomplice who told Kyron a lie to gain his cooperation.

The fourth house, of the physical environment, gives us the Lovers. Since Kyron was obviously not old enough for the traditional meaning of this card, I will point out that this card also refers to choices. Because it has appeared in the house of physical location, and sometimes the later stages of life, I am going to go out on a limb, here, and postulate that it refers to Kyron's father's marriage to Terri, and to the home they shared. Somehow, this whole situation started there. Also, to bring the first card back into the spotlight for a minute, it was a card with the value of "five": I think this whole mess got its start at 5:00 or 5:30 in the morning. In the fifth house, we have the King of Pentacles. This is a card of a man who either owns or is employed by a stable company in the house of children and amusement. As he is upside right, he is neutral to the situation, and may have helped the perpetrator in some way, without even realizing it. Perhaps his surveillance camera picked up some movement or clue, and he deleted it, without realizing what he had. Or maybe he met Kyron, face to face, and did not know that Kyron was in danger. Nonetheless, this person may be able to shed light, if he realizes what his contribution means.

The sixth house, which shows us all the little and big inconveniences of life, features the Knight of Cups. This is a man who is still actively looking for Kyron. I am happy to see him, here. He is open to suggestions and able to listen to the right tip, and follow up on it. Since he is in the house of inconvenience, he is a problem to the perpetrator. Moving along to the seventh house, of partnerships and partners, we have the Page of Swords, reversed. This is a young person who partnered with the perpetrator. Swords often deals with words, both written and spoken, so we can expect this young person to given false testimony about Kyron and Kyron's whereabouts. I will also note, here, that this page is the same suit, swords, as the king who showed up in the third house. Perhaps it refers to a child and an older man from the same branch of a large or complicated family. This page knows the truth, as it relates to the first house, but won't discuss it. The eighth house, which is about the wills, and assets generated by death, gives us the Moon. This is betrayal and enemies, here. This was not only about hate, but about getting something of value by creating this whole situation.

The ninth house, which shows the goals and ideals, along with longer travels, gives us the Queen of Pentacles. This is another woman connected to the case. As she is upright, I am going to assume that she has Kyron's best interest at heart, and is trying to find him. Look for her to be involved in the resolution of this case! Moving along to the tenth house, of public influences and government involvement, we have the Devil, reversed. There has been a certain amount of ego involved in this search, along with misapplied traditional "wisdom". It is time to listen to Hierophant in reverse, and go over things in a less traditional way. In the eleventh house, representing the organizations that have helped, we get the seven of cups, showing the general lack of success, so far, in finding Kyron. There have been a lot of far fetched theories and tips followed, here, and the seven of cups is telling us that something fundamental has been completely overlooked and ignored. The eleventh house shares an axis with the fifth house, where we found the King of Pentacles. I really think it is time to find out who he is and see what he has to say! He is a loose end here, that was never tied up by the perpetrator.

The twelfth house, of death and self undoing, gives us the Empress, reversed. I think this is the maternal figure who had access to Kyron in the early morning hours of June 4, 2010, and who took him to school, where he was last seen. The reversal of this card speaks for itself; it reveals a shallow woman who cares only for herself. She appears opposite the knight in the sixth house, so I think the knight is working to counteract her. There were, and are, definitely others involved, and others who know exactly what happened to Kyron. This perpetrator did not act alone.

The cards, once again, have not described a death for Kyron, although the reversed Empress is certainly a dangerous person. The Moon in the eighth house is a bit troubling, and could show a final resting place outside, in water. The first two cards also give us a clue: five, or perhaps a route number, such as rt. 5, or maybe five miles away. Also, the fourth house is where the Lovers turned up, and it is on the same axis as the tenth house, where we got the Devil, reversed. The Devil sometimes tells us of friends or partners who are trapped in a relationship by things other than friendship and love; such as blackmail and secrets. Perhaps someone is no longer trapped by the reversed Empress will be able to shed light on this. As always, I am hoping that Kyron turns up alive. If he does, he will be a young man, by now.

Gannon Stauch

Eleven year old Gannon Stauch has been missing from Colorado Springs since January 27. His stepmother told police that he went to a friend's house, but no one has seen him since. I will do a tarot reading, using a horoscope spread, to see what the cards have to say about Gannon's case.

In the first house, we get the Fool. This is the foundation of the entire situation, and we can expect to be surprised by a few things, as the search continues. The Fool is all about adventure and new things, but sometimes about foolish choices, as well. This card also describes risks, and I will come back to it concerning the types of risks later in the reading. Moving along to the second house, of material possessions and personal wealth, we have the seven of pentacles, which shows us a farmer, waiting for his crop to grow and ripen. This usually tells us about an adult who waits for a client, or an investment to come to fruition, not a child or the pursuits of a child. This is unusual, here. The third house, of communication and relatives, yields the Magician. The Magician in this context shows an adult involved who orchestrated this disappearance and whose communication, both written and spoken, along with phone data, can be helpful. This person has manipulated and deceived others before, and has gotten away with it.

The fourth house, of the home environment, shows the Hanged Man. The fourth house tells us about the home of the subject, and sometimes about the current environment. The Hanged Man speaks of suspension, so from this, we can extrapolate that someone close to Gannon has not given all the information he or she can. Also, as a physical location, shallow ponds and creeks with trees near the shorelines are indicated.

The Star, the card of inspiration and success, comes up in the fifth house of creativity and children. This could mean a number of things; it could mean that Gannon will be found by someone who "thinks outside of the box", or it could merely mean that Gannon is outside, somewhere. This idea is actually followed up by the Sun, which appears in the sixth house of inconveniences and challenges. Somehow, these elements, associated with outdoors, are key to finding Gannon. "Sun", or "Star" may also be included in the name of a road or a place.

Now, we move to a subject that is a bit sticky; the seventh house of partnerships. This house yields the Empress, which is the "mother" card, reversed. Gannon is too young for such a partner of his own, so we must assume that this is a family member or an adult female who is involved in his life in such a way that she makes a difference in the choices that he makes and in his general experience in life. As she falls reversed, I am going to assume that she does not mean him well. The eighth house card, the three of wands, also reversed, relates directly to things involving both the reversed Empress and Gannon. When the three of wands falls reversed, we can expect a certain amount of treachery and bad faith, so I hate to see it in a position that relates to products of agreements and partnerships. The ninth house, of beliefs and guidance, gives us the two of wands, reversed, telling us that impatience and obstinacy on the part of the reversed Empress  played a role, here, too.

The tenth house, of reputation and public life, gives us the Queen of Swords, reversed, telling us that narrow mindedness, malice, and, once again, deceit, is involved. This is either a female accomplice, or an accomplice after the fact. There has been a certain amount of justifying and rationalizing concerning the lies to law enforcement. We have the nine of swords, reversed, indicating loss and misery, in the eleventh house of friends, hobbies, and play. This worries me a great deal. The twelfth house, of secret enemies and endings, shows the four of cups, reversed. This shows acceptance, but acceptance of what?

Going back to the Fool, in the first house, it appears that someone promised Gannon an adventure of some sort, or promised him something in order to get him to do something he otherwise would not have done, or to go somewhere he otherwise would not have gone. The Hanged Man, the Star, and the Sun are all cards which, on mundane levels, speak to the out of doors, and that is why I think Gannon will be found outside. I do not think he ever made it to his friend's house, and while I don't see a lot of violence in this reading, the two women indicated, the Empress reversed and the Queen of Swords reversed, worry me. Hopefully, Gannon will be found safe, and all of the dire warnings in this reading will be things that have not yet come to pass.

A very sad update: Gannon was found deceased, near a bridge on the Escambia River in Florida.

What Happened To Emanuela Orlandi?

Emanuela Orlandi, of Vatican City, disappeared while walking home from a flute lesson on June 22, 1984, at the age of fifteen. It seemed, last week, that there may have been a valid tip given to her family, pointing them to the Teutonic Cemetery in Vatican City. "Look where the angel is pointing", was the advice, and that led to two graves from the 1800's, of two princesses. The graves were opened, and no bones were found; not the princesses, or Emanuela. So where does this leave the investigation, and where is Emanuela? We will see if the Tarot can help. I will use a horoscope spread here.

In the first house, of the matter, itself, we find the seven of cups. This is a card of illusions and choices, none of those choices truly reflecting reality. We already have a message that Emanuela may have been lured by someone or something that was not as it appeared. This sets the stage for the entire matter. Next, in the second house, we find the Wheel of Fortune. The second house deals with wealth and ownership of material things, and the Wheel of Fortune deals with unexpected luck......it seems that her disappearance represented an unplanned opportunity to someone, rather than stalking. As things currently sit, the perpetrator still "owns" the entire matter. In the third house, of communication and short journeys, we have the seven of pentacles, and card that shows waiting for fruition. On more mundane levels, this could also relate to a place that is a short journey from where Emauela was last seen; a place with gardens and possibly fruit trees or grapes growing. The fourth house gives us the Knight of Pentacles, a young man who moves slowly and thoroughly. This man is connected to Emanuela's family and home, and represents the efforts to find her. He has not given up.

The fifth house, of creative endeavors and speculation, shows the nine of wands. The message here is not to give up; the nine of wands is patience. In the sixth house of inconveniences and disagreements, we find Judgement, which is good news in a case like this. Judgement is all about the revealing of secrets, even the secrets of the dead. This could also show legal matters moving in the favor of finding Emanuela. The seventh house, of partnerships; however, yields the two of swords, which shows that there is still some resistance on the part of someone who has not wanted a thorough investigation over the years. The eighth house, of legacies, secrets, and sometimes, death; is a problem. Here, we find the Knight of Cups, reversed. This is a man who is dishonest, perverse, and who has been protected by others. This person has lied about other matters, too, and may have also embezzled. In the ninth house, of justice and religion, we get the Page of Cups, who is a younger, less powerful person. That person has somehow stumbled upon information that is pertinent and is not sure how to share it and be taken seriously. There is a a problem of power here: an older man who has power and protection and a young person with information and an institution that will not give up secrets that it finds demeaning to itself.

The four of cups, reversed, appears in the tenth house of law and order. New information is now possible to assimilate. Communication between investigating agencies will also get better. We have the Hanged Man in the eleventh house of organizations and friends. This shows that there are people who are willing to make a few sacrifices and stand up to authorities in pursuit of the truth. That is a change for the better. In the twelfth house, we find the five of pentacles. Like the eighth house, the twelfth house also deals with death, in addition prisons and hospitals. The depiction on the card is usually a church, which leads me to believe that Emanuela never left Vatican City. I believe that her remains will be found either in a church or a garden outside of one. Sadly, this card also speaks to the idea of lovers unable to find a place to meet.....I really think we have a priest who used a church for this purpose.

Since July 11, when it was discovered that the bones of  were no longer in their marked graves, the investigation has uncovered two ossuaries beneath a floor in an area in the Teutonic College. There are thousands of bones, and DNA testing will be required to determine the identities involved. While I always hope for resolution, I wish my conclusions in this case could have been more positive.

Update: On January 9, 2023, the Vatican reopened Orlandi's case, and will investigate again.

Sidereal Chart For The Morning Of Kyron Horman's Disappearance

Kyron Horman disappeared on June 4, 2010 from his school, during a science fair. There have been massive searches for him, and much discussion and speculation over the past nine years, but Kyron has not been found. He was only seven years old when he was last seen. Many readings have been done for him, too; and I have done a few for him on this site. One thing that I have not done in the past is a forensic astrology event chart for Kyron. This year, I am reading the sidereal event chart for the place from which he disappeared, and I will progress the chart for three key times on June 4, 2010. This will give us two readings, instead of one. I will begin with 8:45 AM on June 4, when he was allegedly dropped off at school, with his science project for the science fair. After that, I will progress Portland's chart to 9:00 AM, which is when Kyron's stepmother states that she left the school. I will finish with a chart for 3:00 PM on the same day.  Sidereal astrology shows the planets as they would appear to the naked eye, when viewing the night sky, and it subtracts approximately twenty-four degrees from the tropical, or western horoscopes that are usually used in America. Also, while Vedic astrology does not take the outer, or generational, planets into account, it places much more emphasis on the north and south nodes, or eclipse points, of the moon. The North Node is called Rahu and the South Node is called Ketu; the head and tail of a mythical demonic beast. Since I have found sidereal astrology and Vedic astrology to be much more accurate, I will be using Vedic charts.

According to Kyron's family, his stepmother, Terri Moulton Horman, gave him a ride to school at 8:45 AM, and also took his eighteen month old sister, so I ran the first chart for 8:45 AM on June 4. The ascendant is 3:9 degrees Cancer. At that point, there are no new reports of missing persons in the entire area, and nothing is amiss. The South Node, called Ketu, represented by the tail of a demon named Rahu, is in Gemini, the twelfth house, along with Venus, so there is a certain amount of twelfth house energy to be noted. The twelfth house in a chart represents endings, secrets enemies, and death in some cases, and it was one of the first things I looked at. The South Node is the chart significator for the twelfth house, and because of its association in this chart with Mercury, who rules Gemini, I decided to use Mercury as a marker for Kyron. Mercury is in the chart's tenth house, Aries, at 27:18 degrees. Since Kyron was last seen with Terri Horman, I used the ascendant, Cancer, as significator for her activities that morning. Cancer is ruled by the Moon, and the Moon is 16:57 degrees Aquarius, and I used the Moon as a marker for Terri. Aquarius is also the eighth house for this chart, and eighth house significations include joint finances, joint accounts, and often death. The Moon can also show unexpected and unexplained actions and reactions. Also, the South Node carries its influence to the eighth house, occupied by the Moon, so I am comfortable using the Moon and Mercury as markers for Kyron and Terri. While the ascendant is in Cancer, it is barely in Cancer; it is still very close to Gemini, the twelfth house hosting two planets, so it appears that there are plans involving twelfth house matters, (death or secrets) but no action yet.

I will jump from here to the third house, which covers short journeys, written communications, and sometimes relatives....younger siblings in particular. Virgo is the third house, and it is occupied by Saturn, at 3:50 degrees. Saturn is the chart significator for the eighth and twelfth houses, which are already heavily represented in this chart, and that is where he carries his influence. Saturn rules places of solitude and spiritual detachment, (graveyards, anyone?) and he is disposited by Mercury, who rules Virgo. The Moon in this chart is disposited by Saturn, which could indicate an older man's involvement in the planning and/or transportation needed to carry out this whole plan. In addition to affecting the house opposite it, Saturn also aspects the third and tenth houses from it, as well. Here, we have Saturn in a loose opposition with Jupiter, which occupies the ninth house, of long distance travels and of education, and we also have him aspecting the seventh house, of partnerships, and the twelfth house. Saturn's effect is to slow things down, so here we see a possible agreement with one partner moving more slowly and more cautiously than the other. Saturn also casts his rays on the sixth house of this chart, which is occupied by Rahu, the North Node. It would appear that the kidnapper's plan did not go as originally planned, but still took place. There was definitely more than one person involved, here.

About that opposition between Jupiter and Saturn; this involved the third and ninth houses. Both of these houses are concerned with travel; short distances in the third house, long distances in the ninth house. We have a conflict between earth, particularly farmed or gardened earth with non-native fruit trees, (possibly fig trees) and large bodies of water. Jupiter also aspects the fifth, seventh, and ninth houses from where it sits. This means that Jupiter, with all of its expansive and accommodating influences has an effect on the ascendant, solidifying will and intentions. Moving to another place of influence, the seventh house from itself, Jupiter, once again, influences Saturn, the planet of delay. This was probably an inconvenience related to driving Kyron away from the school. Next, we have Jupiter affecting the ninth house from itself and the fifth house of the chart, Scorpio. Fifth house matters are creativity, love affairs, children, pleasure, and speculations. Scorpio is a rather dark place, symbolized by standing water and sometimes, negative emotions. Perhaps a compromise about location?

We have Mercury, the marker for Kyron, in the tenth house, of public life and government. I will take this to mean school, in Kyron's case. A side note about the tenth house is that it also represents fathers, and fatherhood.....more on that later. The tenth house is Aries, and Mercury affects the seventh house from itself, which is Libra. Libra is a sign of discernment, and I do not think Kyron would have willingly left the school with a stranger. Libra is also the fourth house of the chart, which brings home and family into the mix, and suggests that someone from Kyron's home was involved. It probably took some convincing and coaxing to get Kyron away from the school and the science fair, too. Mercury is disposited by the Sun, and we find the Sun in Taurus, the eleventh house of friends and organizations. This is where we will have the most reliable information and clues as to where Kyron was taken. Here, we once again encounter the symbolism of tilled earth and agriculture. Red deer and wagons are also featured, here. We had red as a unique color in Saturn's position, and we also have it in the Sun's position. The testimony of Kyron's school friends, teachers, and other employees of the school is key, here. Perhaps red or orange could be a school bus, or a bus driver may have key information. The Sun also brings its influence to the first, ninth, and tenth houses of a chart, so we have the Sun casting its effects on the ascendant, showing that there are witnesses who can help, on the seventh house of the chart, Capricorn, showing that there are accomplices, and on the tenth house from itself and the eighth house of the chart, Aquarius, occupied by the Moon, which is the marker for Kyron's stepmother, Terri Horman. No one should be surprised if an eyewitness identifies Terri as having been close enough to circumstances and evidence to have been involved.

Meanwhile, the Sun is disposited by Venus, who is in Gemini, the twelfth house of this chart, along with the South Node.Venus in the twelfth house is often sensual, in a perverse way, and she is coupled with the South Node here, who brings violent energies into the mix. There is also a vague lack of direction about procedures at the school on this day, which leads to loss. So the stage is set in Portland for a child to go missing on June 4.

At this point, I have progressed the chart just fifteen minutes, to 9:00 AM. Most the configurations have not changed significantly, but a couple have; notably the ascendant and the Moon. The ascendant has moved further into Cancer, and is no longer on the cusp of Gemini. This pushes the not-yet-materialized plan into a viable action. Earthy Saturn, in Virgo, becomes more active, while watery Jupiter cedes a bit. 9:00 can be nailed down as a key time. The Moon has moved to 17:05 Aquarius, and is opposite Leo, which is occupied by Mars at 4:39 degrees. Mars rules Aries, the tenth house of this chart, and as I stated earlier, I am getting back to the tenth house significance. One of the denizens of the tenth house is the father, and relationships with the father. Mercury, the marker for Kyron, is in the tenth house. Mars is a planet that often brings conflicts, and it isn't terribly friendly to the Moon, so I think it is fair to deduce that there is a certain amount of conflict between Terri and Kyron's father. Leo, where Mars is placed, is the second house in this chart, and symbolizes money, income, and possessions; so this gives us an idea of what the disappearance of a child at this time and place was really about.  Mars aspects the fourth, seventh, and eighth houses from itself. This means that in addition to opposing Aquarius, the eight house of the chart, Mars also casts rays on the fifth house of the chart, Scorpio, lending speculation without facts to the motive, and it casts an influence on Pisces, the eighth house from itself and the ninth house of the chart, where Jupiter waits. One of Jupiter's significations is a fatherly influence, so here we have another suggestion that a struggle with Kyron's father may have precipitated this.

In all of the tarot readings I have done for Kyron, none have conclusively indicated that Kyron was murdered. Here, we have a lot of eighth house and twelfth house activity, and both houses deal with death, so I am a bit uncomfortable and unhappy to see this. The marker for Terri being in the eighth house is disconcerting, and the South Node in the twelfth house is never a comforting thing in a reading for a missing person. The North Node is in the sixth house, in a loose opposition to Venus, also in the twelfth house, and the sixth house deals with inconveniences and health problems. This shows that Kyron was an "inconvenience" to a female family member, and possibly to others connected to her. The North Node, or Rahu, can give misleading philosophies when in Sagittarius, and its opposition to Venus shows an inability to compromise. Rahu in Sagittarius could show us key places in regard to this kidnapping, although judging from the rest of this chart, I would expect multiple crimes scenes, at least two. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, who is in his other sign of rulership here, Pisces. This is another "father" reference.

Another factor that cannot be overlooked is how heavy this chart is in the element of fire; we have Mars in Leo, the second house, Rahu in Sagittarius, the sixth house, and Mercury in Aries, the tenth house. This gives a lot of importance to the second house pursuit of money and the sixth house inconveniences of day to day affairs, combined with tenth house status and public life....with the marker for Kyron being in the tenth house. Somehow, money, possessions, and inconvenience played a role here, along with concern about reputation. How does the element of fire play into this? Keeping in mind that both the eighth house and the twelfth houses are Aquarius and Gemini, air signs.... perhaps this is a reference to communication and evidence....as in "burner phones". Quite mundane, but possibly applicable. The eighth and twelfth houses also deal with secrets; Aquarius is where we find the Moon, so it literally "carries the water," along with the motive and intention; and Gemini is occupied by Ketu and Venus, suggesting that a woman has been keeping secrets in this matter for a long time. Also significant would be tears and sweat, and circles of flowers. Given the references in this chart, I would have to deduce that in the Portland area, two women were directly involved, and a man indirectly involved, in the disappearance of a local child on the morning of June 4, 2010. I will run another chart, progressed by a few hours, in a couple of days, in order to determine more of how events unfolded according to the first chart.

Lindsey Baum Investigation

I got a recent question from a reader about the Lindsey Baum investigation. Specifically, the reader wanted to know what law enforcement has done to identify a suspect, now that her remains have been found and returned to her family. Since none of my earlier readings on Lindsey's case have asked that particular question, I think it is time to ask the Tarot. I also am curious about the investigation, and how and when Lindsey will get justice.

I have chosen a horoscope spread this time, because it is easier to get more information that way, and put it together. We begin with the eight of swords, representing an unwilling standstill, in the first house, which is the face of the entire matter. This is frustrating, and it tells us that so far, investigators have not put together a solid case or found the evidence they need to proceed and identify the right suspect. The second house, which tells us about that which is materially important to solving this case, shows the five of cups. Here, your faithful blogger heaves a sigh of relief, since it tells us that there are, indeed, some valid clues that can still yield answers upon investigation. These things, whatever they are, have been overlooked. In the third house, of short distance travel and communication, we have the King of Swords, reversed. Court cards of the suit of swords often represent law enforcement, and I hate to see the King come up reversed. So far, it gives the appearance of ineffective communication among police departments, (it will take input from more than one police department to solve this case) and it points, possibly, to a member of law enforcement who does not want to solve the case.......hmmm.  Moving on the fourth house, describing the environment surrounding this investigation, we have the eight of wands, reversed. Upside right, this card tells of sudden happiness and enthusiasm, but when it falls reversed, it has a very different story to tell: jealousy and quarrels.

In the fifth house, of creative ideas and creative productivity, we find the nine of swords. This augers more delays, and it relates to the first card in this reading, the eight of swords. The message is that investigators really do not know which way to turn. The sixth house, of inconveniences, has a rather unusual message in the form of the Hierophant, reversed. When this card appears upright in a reading, it tells of tradition and conformity; its reversed meaning is nonconformity and "thinking outside of the box". What this means is that in order to solve this case,  law enforcement will have to interview someone(s) they do not want to consider a suspect, and will have to look at possibilities they do not want to deem likely scenarios. Going back to the five of cups in the second house, I am going to venture a guess that there are two such possible suspects or witnesses and two sources of evidence that have not been tapped.

The seventh house, of partnerships and partnered efforts, gives us the Knight of Swords. This is law enforcement, and this is straightforward law enforcement, working hard to solve the case. The message of one police department that is either not communicating or on the wrong track is reinforced, here. Nonetheless, this is an investigator who will work until Lindsey gets justice. The two of wands, reversed, shows up in the eighth house of legacies and joint efforts. This represents a deliberate effort to avoid identifying the correct suspect. Clues have not been checked out as quickly as they should have been, and the investigators who want to solve this case will need to be very careful to make sure that evidence is not mishandled. The ninth house, of long journeys, law, and protection, shows the Queen of Pentacles, reversed. I really do not like to see this, because it looks like a woman, or an organization dealing with earth, dirt, DNA, and bones is either deliberately or inadvertently protecting someone who should be questioned. This case has been slowed down by professionals who do not communicate with each other and who do not want to look at evidence.

The tenth house, of career and relationships with superiors, shows the seven of pentacles. Once again, this is delay. It does show us that with the right amount of dedication, it IS possible to get justice, though. The Page of Cups, reversed, appears in the eleventh house, of hopes and desires. This is simply bad news, and perhaps, a false lead or tip. We may even see someone charged with perjury or subornation of testimony before this is over. At the very end, in the twelfth house of endings, we have the Queen of Swords, upside right. This shows that after all the delays, law enforcement and the judicial system finally put the matter to rest and secure justice for Lindsey Baum, despite all the false starts.

Jayme Closs

On October 15 of this year, police in Barron, Wisconsin got a 911 call. Nothing was said directly to the dispatcher, but screams could be heard in the background. When police got to the home of Jayme Closs and her parents, her parents had been murdered, but Jayme was nowhere to be found. She remains missing. So what happened to her, and where is she? I will see what the Tarot has to offer through a horoscope spread.

In the first house, we find Death. Usually, Death does not represent an actual, physical death in tarot readings, but in a reading for a missing person, the card sometimes does point us in that direction. A more typical meaning for Death is a major change or transformation. The first house is the situation at hand, and at this moment, the person who murdered Jayme's parents is in control of the situation. The second house gives us the ten of wands. The second house is about money and possessions, and the ten of wands augers oppression and power that has been used unwisely. The unfolding picture is beginning to show us a drama that took place between Jayme's parents and another adult; this very likely had nothing to do with Jayme. We will come back to this, since it speaks to motive.

The third house, of communication, memory, and short journeys, shows the six of cups. This is a card of childhood memories and childhood friends; and it leads right into the next card in the fourth house of home environment and real estate property, the ten of pentacles, reversed. The ten of pentacles, when it falls upright, often foretells of inheritance and money received as a gift or bonus. Reversed, it points to a loss of inheritance, or to a financial risk that did not pan out. As it has turned up in a position that tells us about real estate property and houses, perhaps investigation of those things in relation to Jayme's parents is merited. This strengthens the point made by the ten of wands in the second house and suggests investigation of previous occupants of the home or anyone involved in joint financial endeavors with Jayme's parents.

In the fifth house, of creativity, entertainment, and children, we find the World. Somehow, the perpetrator has managed his goal. The message here is that he is still at large. The sixth house, of inconveniences, health or lack thereof, and mundane, day to day events, gives us the five of pentacles, reversed. We have someone who appears happy and balanced; no one would dream that this is the person who killed Jayme's parents. The seventh house, of partnerships, gives us the Devil. Here we have someone who insisted upon his own way and dominated Jayme's parents. Traditionally, the seventh house symbolizes marriage, but it also often refers to partnerships that are not necessarily marriage, so this could be a business partnership. The message throughout the reading, so far, has been one of a man whose losses made him feel justified in committing horrible crimes. This reiterates it. The eighth house, of joint finances, mysteries, and sometimes, death; turns up the four of wands, which is a card of celebration. Once again, we have a reference to a job completed....the goal was to kill Jayme's parents. We have the six of wands in the ninth house, of long distance travel. This tells us what we already know: the perpetrator and Jayme have successfully disappeared. Investigators should keep looking at surveillance videos; there WAS a vehicle involved, and the Closs's were not chosen randomly. Someone intended harm to them.

We find Temperance, reversed, in the tenth house of career, ambition, and social standing. The tenth house also represents the father, and Temperance is a card of good combinations when it is upside right. Reversed, it tells of the opposite: bad combinations. Since this is also the house of the father, I am inclined to think that work associates or possibly an employer of Jayme's father should be given closer scrutiny, along with any person financially connected to or involved with him. The next card, in the eleventh house, is the ten of swords. The eleventh house is the house of friendships and fun, and the ten of swords is a card of violence and ruin. This is the first indication in this reading, so far, that young Jayme might have met a violent end. I always sincerely hope I am wrong in such assessments. The last card, in the house of secrets, secret enemies, and defeat is the Page of Pentacles, reversed. This is unfavorable news; Jayme is considered a liability because she witnessed a crime. Once again, I hope I am wrong.

The only cards that give hints to location are the six of cups, pointing us west at first; then the six of wands, taking us south. Temperance gives us hints about water, a river or a shallow lake. The biggest message here is about the motive of the killer; revenge for a loss of property and money.

UPDATE: Jayme Closs has been found alive! Sadly, she witnessed a terrible crime and was the victim of kidnapping, but she managed to get away. Now a suspect has been arrested. As of this update, law enforcement has not determined the connection of the suspect to Jayme, or to Jayme's family.

Who Killed Lindsey Baum?

Lindsey Baum was found in September of 2017, in eastern Washington, over 100 miles from where she disappeared, in Grays Harbor, Washington. It took months for positive identification. Now that she has been found, the questions remain: how did Lindsey get so far from home, and who killed her? I will attempt to answer those questions with a horoscope spread.

In the first house, of the general atmosphere of the matter, we have the Empress. This is the card of the mother; but I must state that she is not necessarily Lindsey's mother. Her association with Lindsey had something to do with being a mother, or being someone's mother, though. And the Empress is followed by the Emperor, who appears in the second house, of financial prospects and valued items or ideals. It is interesting to see this pair together. We either have multiple suspects, or one suspect and multiple "accessories after the fact". I would expect one of them to be female, too; or, at the very least, I would expect a response to an adult female to show up as a factor, here.

In the third house, of letters, communication, and short journeys, we find the Hierophant, reversed. In reversal, this card is the card of the rebel, one who resists conformity and the status quo. Finding him in the third house, which deals in communication and in short trips, I would the perpetrator to be someone who not only lies, but distorts his words about situations and leads searchers on wild goose chases, in order to continue to conceal the truth. People who knew what happened to Lindsey either called in tips, or pretended to assist in ground searches. The reversed Hierophant is followed by the Knight of Swords, in the fourth house of home environment. Sometimes, this card refers to a violent male, but this knight also often refers to law enforcement. And law enforcement is definitely going over the details, right now.

In the fifth house, of creativity and amusement, we find the Moon, reversed. This is a secret enemy, whose intentions were completely unknown to Lindsey. This is the twisted reason for the entire situation: paranoia and revenge for imagined slights. In the sixth house, we have the two of wands. The sixth house deals with worry, work relationships, everyday matters, and inconveniences. The two of wands shows an effort to strengthen the home front and defend. It also shows partnerships of sorts, and as it shows up in the house of inconvenience, it almost goes without saying that Lindsey had to be transported far away from Grays Harbor, where she would not readily be found. Also, it is starting to look as though someone connected to Lindsey had made someone in Grays Harbor uncomfortable, and this was that person's grim response. The seventh house, of partnerships, gives us Death, reversed. When Death falls reversed, he speaks of stagnation and change that is very slow to occur. Finding him in the house of partnerships in this reading reinforces my initial suspicion that we have more than one suspect to track down in the death of Lindsey Baum.

In the eighth house, of death, joint finances, and debts, we have the three of cups, reversed. We have a perpetrator whose priorities are his own enjoyment, and his own welfare...no one else's. In addition to seeing Lindsey and those close to her as a "threat" of some sort, he truly has no remorse about what he did. The ninth house, of long journeys and protection, gives us the Star. This card often comes up to tell us that something, or someone, was left outside, "under the stars", so to speak. We can also take some hope, here, that this case will eventually be solved, as many aspects of it are now uncovered. The tenth house, of social status, shows the Knight of Wands. This tells of one particular male presence, among those in Lindsey's community. He would be anywhere from twenty-eight years of age to mid forties. This is someone whose testimony may help investigators. Following him, in the eleventh house of social connections and friends, we have the Page of Wands, reversed. This, I feel, is not a false tip or bad news, but an actual person. He is male, in his late teens to early twenties, and has withheld some very important information concerning this. In the twelfth house, of secrets, self defeat, and institutions, we have the seven of swords. The seven of swords tells us that somehow, the whole case will unravel, despite the killer's efforts, and it will be solved. The seven of swords shows up when an action, especially a misdeed, has been done sloppily or is otherwise too difficult to accomplish.

Solving this case will get complicated at times, and it will involve more interviews of persons who have already been interviewed. One of the clues of the reversed Hierophant is to look at any and all conflicting stories and anomalies concerning the evidence and what is thought to be known. Eventually, Lindsey's family and community will have answers.

What's Next In Sierra Lamar Case?

Now that Antolin Garcia-Torres has been found guilty of the murder of missing fifteen year old Sierra Lamar and sentenced to life in prison, or California, there are still remaining questions to answers were never given, during the trial. Most of the questions that come to this site are about finding Sierra, and Garcia-Torres has never shared any information that would assist in this, despite the DNA linking him to the crime that was found in his car and on his personal possessions. So I will ask this question about Sierra's whereabouts, now that the suspect is in prison.

This is a Celtic Cross reading, and my questions was primarily about finding Sierra. I do believe that the right defendant was tried in court and found guilty, so I did not ask about that aspect of the case. The first card is the Queen of Cups, and she is crossed by the Hanged Man, which is read reversed, here. The initial situation is outlined here; Sierra's mother, and the rest of her family want answers and the Hanged Man in reversal has refused to give them. Something else here, though, is that both cards are "watery" cards. Put together, they could show a place where there is a statue, possibly of a woman, and a geometric shape that may look like a cross, a "T", or a triangle. Shallow water has come up in other readings about Sierra, and it does in this one, too.

Beneath this, as a founding cause, we have Death, reversed. That message is quite clear; and Sierra has not moved. At the very edge of this card in Ryder Waite decks, the Death card has an image of the sun peeking out between two towers. Perhaps this is something that has been missed, but I would expect to see stone stone markers of some sort, or signs, rather than towers. This is followed by the three of pentacles, reversed, which we have also seen in previous readings. Garcia-Torres's former workplace bears some sort of connection, either to Sierra or to the crime. The King of Pentacles appears as a man who might help, either in convincing Garcia-Torres that he has nothing to lose by telling authorities where to find Sierra, or by leading more searches, one of which actually succeeds. Someone we WILL be hearing about in the near future is the Page of Cups---reversed. This is a young person who is not terribly loyal. He (this card could also be a "she", but in this reading, I think it is a "he") has some dirt on Garcia-Torres, has heard Garcia-Torres talk, or knows some productive gossip and may be willing to give it up. One of the symbols on this card is a fish in the Page's cup, and I would not be at all surprised if fishing is part of the entire picture, here.

The first card on the Staff, giving us the negative emotions surrounding the matter, is the Moon, reversed. When the Moon appears reversed, we are dealing with the clearing up of deceptions and misconceptions, and peace gained at a cost. This, I think, harks back to the reversed Page of Cups. Is he unwilling to spill his secrets for free? The next card, that showing environment, is the King of Cups. Once again, we have a watery card. But this influence is masculine, and I think this is a man. Perhaps he is the one who puts the all of the tips and evidence together. In the place of desires, we have the six of pentacles, which refers to even trade; you get what you pay for....it is safe to say that someone wants to be paid. The last card, the final outcome, is the eight of swords, which has also shown itself in previous readings for Sierra. It shows a woman trapped by eight swords in shallow water, and I still think that shallow water plays a big role, here.

I hope this case is completely resolved soon.

Lucas Hernadez Missing From Kansas

For almost three weeks, five year old Lucas Hernandez has been missing from Wichita, Kansas. So far, not even as much as a clue has been found, although his stepmother has been jailed on child abuse charges that are said to be unrelated to Lucas. So where is he, and how can we find him?

This is a Celtic Cross reading, and it begins with the Devil, crossed by the ace of wands. the Devil is a card of bondage, and of matter over spirit. It describes aimless feelings and emotions, completely divorced from understanding or rational interpretation. This is the underlying cause of young Lucas's disappearance: he became the victim of a person who had those problems. The ace of wands represents a new venture of some sort that had been started, or plans for a new family, family member, or birth. It is my opinion, so far, that Lucas had been perceived as a fifth wheel by someone in his home.

Before the underlying cause, we have the Star. This shows us hope and inspiration. It also shows that Lucas's disappearance was planned, at least in part, in advance. It is followed by Death, reversed, which bothers me a bit. Upside right, Death is not really an ominous card, because it speaks to change and transformation, but reversed, it tells of stagnation and I do not like to see it in a reading for a missing person. This card shows us the very recent past. Above this, we have the Chariot, reversed. This tells us what may happen here, and the Chariot describes the act of using teamwork and the balance of opposing forces to move forward when it is upright....reversed, not so much. When the chariot falls reversed, it tells of failures, projects that do not work out, and unethical victories. Sadly, this almost screams that a suspect is expecting to get away with taking Lucas. But this is only what could happen, not necessarily what will happen.

The next card, showing what will happen in the near future, is the Hanged Man, reversed. Upright, this card shows sacrifices and results that are related to timing, such as waiting until the right moment for the best results. But it is reversed here, showing that this investigation will meet with resistance and arrogance. Once again, this shows that someone feels that they have already committed the perfect crime.

The first card on the staff is the Magician, reversed. This shows the use of power for destruction. Sometimes, the card also speaks of abuse of authority. Next, in the place of environment, we have Strength, reversed, giving us the same message, only when Strength falls reversed, it more aptly describes abuse of authority, while the reversed Magician is more concerned with the abuse of power; so we have both factors here. This is disturbing, as the reading began with the Devil, which is also a card of misused powers and strengths. So far, this reading is giving us a picture of an abusive adult in Lucas's life, and Death in reversal not showing any renewals. I do not believe this is going to have a happy ending, but I sincerely hope that I am wrong.

In the place of hopes, we find the three of pentacles, reversed. As a description of a personality trait, this card in reversal would speak to pettiness and selfishness. As a situation or an environment, this shows us that someone connected to this is not worried about Lucas, but only worried about missing work. The reading ends with the Queen of Cups. As she is upside right, I am going to assume that she is kindly disposed toward Lucas, and wants him to be found. She is the person who will persevere until Lucas is found.

To sum this up, it appears that a woman was involved in the abuse and disappearance of Lucas, as shown in the Star, then Strength reversed. While this woman should have been more like the inspiration of the Star, and may have been, at one time; the relationship devolved into the environment depicted by Strength, reversed. A possible male figure is represented by the reversed Hanged Man, and the problem with this person is that while he could help with his testimony, he has not done so. He knows what has happened, and is complicit. There are only three cards would speak of direction, or location: the ace of wands would take us a little to the south; Death sometimes points us north, but he is reversed; and Strength is sometimes south, but is also reversed here. I do not think that Lucas is very far from home. While the Star and the Hanged Man show shallow water, the Magician tells us that not only water, but other elements are involved. That would indicate a location near shallow water, outside. Abuse and violence is a prominent enough theme in this reading to suggest slaughterhouses as possible landmarks, too.

I always hope I am wrong when I have a reading such as this, so I will keep hoping and praying for the best. I hope Lucas is found soon.
