Leigh Marine Occhi

Leigh Marine Occhi disappeared from her home in Tuppelo, Mississppi, during Hurricane Andrew in 1992. As the story goes, Leigh was only home alone for about an hour, but when her mom came home that morning, all she could find was blood and other evidence of violence, but no Leigh. I have gotten a couple of requests for readings, so I will do one. There did not seem to be many pictures of her, and this was the best poster I could find, with contact information, as well as pictures.

The first two cards in this reading are the King of Wands crossed by the eight of wands. The King of Wands is upside right, so I will assume he means Leigh no harm, but the eight of wands is telling us of jealousy playing a role in the situation. Beneath this is the three of wands, which bespeaks assistance in this child's disappearance, so there was more than one person involved. The ace of wands also appears in the recent past, (of this event) telling us that a new opportunity enjoyed by someone was also a factor. The nine of wands comes up in the place of things that would have been best, had they materialized, and the nine of wands upright almost always denotes a need for patience. Patience was lacking. The next card is the Hermit, and he is an older man who is still looking for Leigh.

The ten of pentacles comes up in the place of fears, and this bothers me in this reading, because it represents a fear of losing an inheritance, or a fear of losing a financial opportunity that is more of a gift than an earned bonus or salary. Often, a card depicting money or resources in a position like that will speak to motive for a crime, and it looks as if a fear of loss of material resources was a type of motive here. Also, a resentment, looking back to the ace of wands, over an opportunity that someone was going to be obligated to pass on, but very grudgingly. Bringing us to environment, we see Justice, reversed. The message is quite clear, there has been no justice. Judgement also comes up, but upside right. This is a fear, and someone has a fear of this child being found. Plain and simple. The five of wands is the last card here, and it is a card of violence and revenge. I really hate to see it in this child's reading, because the message is one of vengeance inappropriately expressed toward a child.

Physical location would appear to be water in this case, and I say this because of the Judgement card, which features the past, or esoteric resurrected souls, rising out of the water. Also the three of wands is often help in the form of moving something through or over water, and I hope nearby watery places were checked as well as they could be. I wish the reading could have been more positive.

Kathryn Adam

Kathryn Adams disappeared in April of 1993, while working for Leggs as a delivery person. She disappeared in Salina, Kansas after visiting a Kwik Stop where her image was caught on a security camera. That was the last known sighting of her; the van she was driving turned up at a restaurant that was closed for remodeling.

The reading starts with the seven of swords crossed by the King of Swords. This speaks to legal matters; the seven of swords is a card that usually describes the attempt to take more than one can handle, or take something that does not belong to one. The King of Swords is often a policeman, lawyer, or judge, or a man of authority connected to law. In this case, he was well disposed toward Kathryn, and was trying to stop her from something either unnecessary or unwise. As a bit of background, we get the nine of swords, which is worry, and lots of it. The cause of this worry is the Sun, reversed, which speaks of home, marriage, and family in a state of upheaval or unrest. In possible outcomes for the matters weighing on Kathryn's mind when she disappeared, the seven of pentacles appears, reversed. The message here is that Kathryn was about to be forced to part with something, or with money, for which she had worked hard, and she did not think it was just and fair. The next card is the ten of cups. Usually, the ten of cups is a wonderful card, but in answer to the question about Kathryn's missing persons case, I find it troubling. It bespeaks an ending here, in specific, an ending to a family situation or marriage, without the marriage actually having to end.

The first card on the staff is judgement, reversed. As it falls in the place of fears, this card's clear message is the fear of death. The next card, depicting an important feature of Kathryn's surroundings at the time, is the Queen of Wands. This would be a woman over the age of seventeen with reddish hair (possibly dyed) and an impulsive nature. She is not reversed, so at the moment, I think she is friend, rather than foe. In the place of hopes, we find the Wheel of Fortune, reversed, which tells us that in addition to family problems, Kathryn somehow found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time. The last card is the ace of wands, reversed, which is a dealing that did not materialize, or turn out the way Kathryn had anticipated.

Two sevens appeared in this reading, and it seems plausible that they may refer to a route number or a place. The pentacles point north, but are reversed here, and the swords point east. Seven, ten, and twenty seem to be significant numbers; between seven and twenty miles to the east, then off the beaten path a bit. The Sun has shown up reversed, and when I asked why Kathryn disappeared, I drew the Moon, which, in this case, speaks of mistrust and dishonesty. Also, these two cards together in a reading often refer to outdoors, "under the sun", or "in moonlight".

Hugues De La Plaza

Hugues De La Plaza, a young man from France, was found dead in San Francisco in 2007, having bled to death from stab wounds. To this day, his death remains unsolved, and it was rumored by some to be a suicide,, but evidence points strongly to homicide.

So how did this violence happen? The reading starts with the Tower, crossed by the four of swords, and while I was shuffling the cards, the Lovers fell out, as if to shed some additional light on matters. The Tower represents an implosion of bad habits and bad decisions, forcing a change. The four of swords is a card of rest, or as in this case, of waiting. I think that someone was waiting, either in Hugues's apartment, or outside of it, for Hugues to come home that night. Below this, describing the background of the situation, we have the three of pentacles, which is the card of the craftsman. This would indicate a connection from where Hugues worked, or made his living. Behind this, representing motive, we have the Empress, reversed, showing a female influence. As she is reversed, this female would not be favorably inclined toward Hugues, and her aspect was completely out of balence.

Following the event, background, and motive, we have the eight of pentacles, which is another "work and career" card. This whole matter somehow has a connection to Hugues's workplace. It is also distinctly possible, in fact, almost certain, that Hugues knew his assailant and was not that surprised at the conflict. The Page of Cups is next, and he would be a youngish man with light brown hair and hazelish or bluish eyes. He has a strong connection to the reversed Empress. Could the Empress have been involved in a relationship wherein she and her mate were attempting to start a family? In any event, there is no indication that Hugues was interested in a family, so the committed relationship of the Empress was not with him.

The six of cups reversed appears in the place of the fears of the person who committed the murder, and it WAS a murder. There is an element of "living in the past" here, for this person. His relationship with the Empress had changed, somehow, and he blamed Hugues! The next card, describing the environment surrounding this, is the five of swords, reversed. This is revenge, purely and simply. It would also not surprise me to hear that he was stabbed five times. The Queen of Pentacles, reversed, represent the murderer's hopes. This definately involved a woman, and betrayal and mistrust were clear factors, as this Queen is reversed. The final outcome is described by the two of swords, reversed. This suggests that perhaps the culprit had not fully decided to kill Hugues while he waited for him to come home, but conversation and events began moving in a direction that was difficult to control. Sadly, the factors in this are workplace connections, revenge, and a woman.

Jessica Ridgeway

Jessica Ridgeway disappeared this past Friday. She never got on the bus to go to school, and was not seen by any of her schoolmates Friday morning. She disappeared from Westminster, Colorado, and the number to call is anyone sees her is 303-658-4336.

This reading starts with the King of Pentacles, reversed, crossed by the Hanged Man. There is a man who uses money and material resources to manipulate others in this picture. And he has everything in Jessica's situation connected to himself at a standstill. The ace of wands, a new beginning, is the part of the background that made Jessica's disappearance advantageous for him. Also in the background is the Tower, suggesting an overthrow of a comfortable lifestyle and possible bankruptcy. As a strong possibility, we get the Page of Pentacles, reversed. This augers unfavorable news about Jessica, but nothing that has been stated or heard yet. As an event that will take place, the two of cups, reversed appears. This foretells a divorce or the breakup of a relationship, and somehow, Jessica has become a casaulty of it.

In the place of fears, we have the seven of pentacles, reversed. I strongly believe that this is a fear of the perpetrator; and that he is worried about losing everything that he, personally, has worked for. In the place of environment, we have the Emperor, reversed, lending, once again, a masculine influence in this. The Emperor is the "father" card when he is upright, reversed, he speaks to an immature, irresponsible male influence. In the place of hopes, we have the nine of cups, reversed. There is a chance that overindulgence in alcohol or drugs will cause this man to make the mistake that will get him caught. The final outcome is the Sun, which is an excellent card, reassuring us that at this moment, things can be worked out to the satisfaction of everyone concerned. So I would cautously venture Jessica should be found safely. Cautously.....I do not like the reversed two of cups or the reversed Page of Pentacles. The two of cups, because the card deals with separations; and the reversed page, because he deals in bad news.

For a direction to start searching, I would be inclined to look "one" to the north, and then "two" to the east. Cups generally point west, but the two of cups is reversed, so it seems prudent to interpret this as east, since misleading and deception are already part of the picture. Perhaps "one" state, then "two" states.  I will follow this up a few days, if Jessica is not found.
