Jessica Chambers

I got a request, over the holiday, for an "investigative reading" about the murder of Jessica Chambers, of Mississippi. She was found deceased earlier in December, and fire was used, either as a weapon, or to destroy evidence.

The reading starts with the Queen of Wands, reversed, crossed by the seven of cups. This queen, when reversed, is a jealous, angry woman who acts on impulse, rather than thought. Curously, the suit of wands also represents fire, so we are already being told of the element of fire, and of a feminine influence. The seven of cups represents dreams or delusions......things that the queen wanted, but which were either out of her reach or simply impossible. Beneath this, we find the five of cups, which tells of regrets and bitterness, accompanied by a loss. But that which was out of the queen's reach and the loss represented by the five of cups are emotional matters, and hardly seem like a motive for murder!

Someone who contributed, in some way, to all this is the King of Cups; but as he falls upside right, I will assume that he is part of the solution, rather than part of the problem. He is a man who is trying to solve this crime, yet is challenged by the lengths to which the perpetrators have gone. He has empathy, almost to a fault. Sometimes it is easier to focus on a murder without so much empathy! This is backed up by the appearance of the Moon, as a possibility. This tells us that working with intuition and theories will help solve the crime; good, old fashioned police work. Sometimes, this card warns of exaggerations and lies, however; so it is important that the general public be patient with investigators while they sort through evidence. The two of wands appears to describe events in the near future, and this card speaks of scientific methods, and productive exchanges of ideas. Via this exchange of ideas, there is also a partnership of sorts: more than one person or agency will solve the crime. Also, a double meaning implied here is that more than one person must be looked at and questioned......we have multiple suspects.

In the place of fears, we find the Hanged Man. This is a card of sacrifice, especially in the quest of knowledge. Whoever killed Jessica is very afraid of this kind of sacrifice. As a twist, Strength appears reversed in the place of environment; somehow, abuse of authority has played a role here. As of now, the guilty party is not as gratified with the murder as expected, and is mulling over new strategies for quieting down all of the attention that has been generated by it. As a final outcome for this reading, we have the Hierophant, a card of conformity, telling us that conformity is the method the killer is using to avoid detection and deflect suspicion right now. Something I find odd about this reading is the presence of an angry female influence here; I was not expecting that. While I am sure that there will be at least two suspects questioned, one may turn on the other, in return for immunity or a reduced sentence, it seems that jealousy and imagined slights were somehow the motivation for Jessica's murder.

Will The Arrest Solve The McStay Murders?

In light of the recent arrest of Chase Merritt for the murders of Joseph, Summer, Gianni, and Joseph McStay, who were missing for over four years before they were found in shallow graves in the Mohave Desert, I decided to do a reading to find out we will get any answers through this development.

We begin with a base of the ace of wands crossed by the Knight of  Swords. This is almost classic symbolism for a new piece of information, or a tip, being put into the hands of law enforcement. Policemen are often represented by court cards in the suit of swords. Below this, we have the Page of Wands, which is also often a message, backing this up. The Page can also be a person with information, but this person would be a witness, not a defendant or anyone involved in the investigation. The Fool appears, as the reason the tip was investigated, and also suggests that someone went "out on a limb" to investigate a lead that seemed dubious, or not provable at first.

The Emperor appears as a possible motivation for the arrest, and I suppose that is a pretty straightforward message: it stands to reason that Joseph McStay's father would want the case solved as soon as possible. Perhaps he is the one who did some of the sleuthing, or discovered something in his son's possessions or records that required further investigation. This is followed by the High Priestess, reversed, in the place of things that will come to pass. I do not like this card here, because it tells us of surface knowledge, or half truths; not the revealing of the entire truth. A challenge for law enforcement and prosecutors will be a temptation to accept only part of the whole story, rather than digging deeper.

The first card on the staff is the three of swords, telling us that there has already been a bit of "infighting" between individuals close to this matter. Testimony from the person who was arrested may bring on more debate, and it will become even more personal than it already is. This is followed by the four of swords, reversed, which is a sense of urgency on the parts of family to get the whole matter over with, and the case closed. In the place of desires, we have a card that seems very much out of place, and that is the Moon. This is not a desire for closure, but a desire to keep hiding something, or misrepresenting something. Combined with the reversed High Priestess, this does not bode well for the arrest of Chase Merritt, in and of itself, solving this case. The last card is the three of wands, indicating that we are looking for more than one individual to stand trial for this crime. Ultimately, we will eventually get that information, but it will not be easy on the survivors of the deceased, and getting the truth from any witnesses or witnesses after the fact will be difficult.

Will There Be An Arrest In The Ayla Reynolds Case?

Someone asked me for an update in the Ayla Reynolds case, specifically, if there would be an arrest any time in the near future. Ayla Reynolds disappeared from her home in Waterville, Maine on December 16, 2011. She was twenty months old.

Will there be an arrest in Ayla Reynold's case? The reading details that in the past, there was an event that was almost completely lucky for the perpetrator. This is the Wheel of Fortune. It was pure chance that gave this person the opportunity to make Ayla disappear in the first place. The next card is the ten of swords, which is violence. Often, this card describes fatal violence. After this, we have the High Priestess, reversed, telling us of assistance from a female. The High Priestess also speaks of secrecy, and reversed, this screams "accomplice". In addition to being dishonest, this woman is shallow and predictable, however; which may help the investigation.

For the present, we have the Sun. I believe that this is a clue to where Ayla can be found. She is outside, somewhere that either gets a certain amount of sun, or the name "Sun" is part of a place name nearby. I still think she is on private property somewhere. Following this we have the six of swords, reversed. While Ayla has not moved, neither has the investigation. Temperance is the next card describing the present. Temperance describes the proper handling of physical evidence and asking questions at the appropriate time.

In the future, we have the four of pentacles, reversed, telling us that someone may just "let go" of this child's remains at an opportune moment. Upright, this card means hoarding, but reversed, it is quite the opposite. Following this, we have the seven of swords, reversed. This tells us that everything will be done in secret, and the perpetrator stands a reasonably good chance of getting away with it. Death reversed is the last card. Ultimately, hiding what has happened will not be completely possible, as Death, when it falls reversed, is a card of stagnation. In order for an arrest, it will be necessary to watch the suspects closely. They still have some evidence to either destroy or discard.

Update To Mickey Shunick Reading

There has been a very sad update to this case. A man named Brandon Scott Lavergne has been arrested for agravated kidnapping and first degree murder of Mickey Shunick. There is no word about having found Mickey, though. I do not believe she has been located as of this update. There should be more news about this tommorrow.

What Will It Take To Find Sierra Lamar

Sierra Lamar has been missing over three months. While there has been an arrest, and law enforcement seems certain that a case against the defendant, Antolin Torres, can proceed, and Sierra's twitter and facebook accounts have both been hacked, there has still been no indication of where Sierra actually was hidden. There have been several requests over the past few weeks for an updated reading for Sierra's case, and I have held off, feeling that the questions are still very much the same as when this started, and that there wasn't really anything new that divination could tell us, but in the presence of hackers who apparently know, have, or have guessed Sierra's passwords to her accounts, and who have given law enforcement false information, (I need a big frowny-face for this) I think there's a new reason to ask questions. this one more shot, my question is, are the police on the right track with suspect and location for Sierra?

The first three cards tell us about things that are in the past. These cards are the three of cups, the eight of pentacles, and the five of pentacles, reversed. The three of cups speaks of firndships and small celebrations and get-togethers.....but it can also tell us of an ending. Cups also relate to the element of water. The eight of pentacles is the card of the apprentice, and refers to workplaces. The five of pentacles reversed represents novel, and often illicit companionship. Looking at this, it would seem that the suspect may have first noticed Sierra at his job, and that he took an unhealthy interest in her. It looks, I repeat, LOOKS, as if the police are right on the money in their suspicions, with the exception of their statement that whoever took Sierra was not aquainted with her. So far, from this reading, we are being told that Sierra actually did at least know who the perpetrator is, even if she did not know him well.

The next three cards describe the present. They are the Knight of Wands, the six of wands, reversed, and the Tower, reversed. The Knight here is a man who is looking for Sierra. He is between the ages of twenty and forty-five. He may actually solve the case, somehow. A problem for him is the six of wands, reversed, which is delay and fear of an enemy who will "win". This card also relates to news, and because it is reversed, I think it is fair to say that the news being investigated is bad. That brings us to another problem for the Knight of Wands......he is a person who does not enjoy interpreting or delivering bad news, and he would love to have some good news, or at least some definate answers, to deliver. We also have the Tower, which is a card of destruction and ruin. A whole way of life can be changed when we see this card. Reversed, it means the same, but to a lesser degree, and with an added element of imprisonment. I cannot forget that the suspect is in jail right now, refusing to testify, so it looks, I repeat, LOOKS, as if the police are on the right track.

For the future, we get these three cards: the seven of cups, reversed; the Page of Swords, and the Devil, reversed. It is good to see the seven of cups reversed here. Upright, this card means that there are too many ideas and leads to investigate, and that the facts would be hard to nail down, but reversed, it means that investigators are finally narrowing down the clues into a framework that can be followed. Also, there's that "cups" and "water" symbolism again. The Page of Sword is often a troublemaker or a "spy", but here, I think this is someone who testifies, for whatever reason, and actually assists in finding Sierra. Once again, it really looks like more than one person knows where Sierra is. The Devil, reversed, is not only the male energy behind this crime, but a vacillation between resolution and indecision. It looks like law enforcement knows who the Page of Swords is, and is waiting for him to talk, and it also looks like water, may, indeed, be part of the mystery of location for Sierra.

The playful atmosphere described by the three of cups, and the methodical searching described by the reversed seven of cups makes me feel that the answer to whether or not law enforcement is on the right track concerning is searches is "yes".  I hope they succeed in finding her soon.

Sierra Lamar And The Arrest On May 22

Now there has been an arrest in the case of missing Sierra Lamar. The sheriff in Santa Clara county, California thinks that this person is definately connected to Sierra's disappearance, and has had him under surveillance for at least several weeks. She was hoping that his comings and goings would lead to Sierra's whereabouts, or at least yield clues, but we still have not found Sierra. There have been some requests for another reading about this, and I have asked the cards if this arrest has brought us any closer to solving this crime.

This reading starts with the four of cups crossed by the Moon. The four of cups gives us an air of ingratitude somewhere in this picture, and while the Moon can often mean psychism and vision, it can also mean deceit. In this reading, it appears to mean the latter. The truth simply isn't good enough for someone, or will not work out the way he/she would wish, so deception is employed, instead. We have this based by the Knight of Swords. This is a quick, sudden event that may have included violence and definately included geographic movement. The five of pentacles, reversed, fades into the background, taking with it an opportunity to get at the truth. Something that may still happen is the eight of cups, reversed. Upright, this card woud tell us about someone who had gotton his wish, but then changed his mind, Reversed, it means getting one's wish, but at the expense of wisdom and spirituality. It seems to be telling us of someone who may get what he/she wants, but is not yet mature enough for it. Something that will happen is the four of wands, reversed. Perhaps this arrest will help solve the case, but glory and happiness of the four of wands upright, (it is a card of celebrations) will be tarnished, as it falls reversed.

The Page of Cups falls in the place of fears. This can mean news involving a young person or a child, which, of course, everyone wants here. As it falls in the place of fears and negative emotions, I think the truth about what happened to Sierra will still be hard to elicit. The next card is very important in this reading: in the place of environment, as in what is going on NOW, we have the ten of wands, reversed. This tells of duplicity and treachery. It also does not bode well for legal matters. Upright this card speaks of working toward a goal and barely making it, or somehow abusing power and resources, but reversed, it is lies and separation. It is quite possible that in the wake of this arrest, more evidence is being corrupted or destroyed. The nine of pentacles appears in the place of hopes, which is independence and financial well being. Somehow, that is on the mind of the perpetrator. The reading concludes with the World, reversed. This is not a good card for the outcome, as it speaks to a slow resolution in this case, rather than a quick one.

It does not appear that we will get the answers we need from the defendant in the arrest, but I could not help but notice the presence of two fours in this reading. In Taoism, four is the number of family, and wood is it's element. I still think that Sierra did not travel too far away from her family's home, and I also think it is time to start questioning everyone who knows Antonlin Garcia Torres, the defendant who is now charged. Water is still an element somehow, because the Moon appeared, and part of the deception is making it appear that Sierra is "nowhere in the world". Ten of wands: that card points south, but here, it falls reversed. It could be telling us that Sierra backtracked, or that she really didn't go anywhere at all. I wish I had more positive things to say about this. And I hope she is found today.
