Leigh Marine Occhi

Leigh Marine Occhi disappeared from her home in Tuppelo, Mississppi, during Hurricane Andrew in 1992. As the story goes, Leigh was only home alone for about an hour, but when her mom came home that morning, all she could find was blood and other evidence of violence, but no Leigh. I have gotten a couple of requests for readings, so I will do one. There did not seem to be many pictures of her, and this was the best poster I could find, with contact information, as well as pictures.

The first two cards in this reading are the King of Wands crossed by the eight of wands. The King of Wands is upside right, so I will assume he means Leigh no harm, but the eight of wands is telling us of jealousy playing a role in the situation. Beneath this is the three of wands, which bespeaks assistance in this child's disappearance, so there was more than one person involved. The ace of wands also appears in the recent past, (of this event) telling us that a new opportunity enjoyed by someone was also a factor. The nine of wands comes up in the place of things that would have been best, had they materialized, and the nine of wands upright almost always denotes a need for patience. Patience was lacking. The next card is the Hermit, and he is an older man who is still looking for Leigh.

The ten of pentacles comes up in the place of fears, and this bothers me in this reading, because it represents a fear of losing an inheritance, or a fear of losing a financial opportunity that is more of a gift than an earned bonus or salary. Often, a card depicting money or resources in a position like that will speak to motive for a crime, and it looks as if a fear of loss of material resources was a type of motive here. Also, a resentment, looking back to the ace of wands, over an opportunity that someone was going to be obligated to pass on, but very grudgingly. Bringing us to environment, we see Justice, reversed. The message is quite clear, there has been no justice. Judgement also comes up, but upside right. This is a fear, and someone has a fear of this child being found. Plain and simple. The five of wands is the last card here, and it is a card of violence and revenge. I really hate to see it in this child's reading, because the message is one of vengeance inappropriately expressed toward a child.

Physical location would appear to be water in this case, and I say this because of the Judgement card, which features the past, or esoteric resurrected souls, rising out of the water. Also the three of wands is often help in the form of moving something through or over water, and I hope nearby watery places were checked as well as they could be. I wish the reading could have been more positive.

Update For Morgan Martin

Morgan Martin, Florida teen who went missing in July of 2012, is still missing. When someone asks me for an updated reading on a cold case, such as this one, I almost never know specifically what question to put to the Tarot. It's also very disappointing that these cold cases, especially ones involving children, exist in the first place. Perhaps the most important question in this case right now has to do with where Morgan Martin can be found. She was also between sixteen and twenty weeks pregnant at the time of her disappearance.

I simply asked the question, "Where is Morgan Martin?" The reading is already unique in that the cards all fell reversed. We begin with three cards for the past, which are, the Magician, the seven of wands, and the nine of swords. When the Magician falls reversed, he speaks of abuses in power. This is someone who either has some personal or political power in the part of Florida where Morgan lived, or has the ear of someone who does. This power was used against Morgan, and was further abused in covering up events that took place after Morgan left her home for the last time. The seven f wands, when upright, is guarded property and a guarded home; but when this card falls reversed, it is the opposite. Morgan had let her guard down completely, and that is how she became vulnerable. The nine of swords signifies imprisonment, especially false imprisonment.

For the present, we have the ace of cups, the Page of Cups, and Judgement. I believe we saw Judgement in an earlier reading for Morgan. The ace of cups does not bode well for the unborn child. Upright, it refers to birth and fertility, along with joy, but reversed, it tells of the opposite of those things. Likewise the Page of Cups, who is also reversed here. The reversed Page goes a step further and assures us that a deliberate deception can be revealed under the right circumstances, though, so we can be sure that Morgan's disappearance was no accident. Fear of death and disillusionment are what we are being shown by Judgement upside down, those were elements on Morgan's part.

What we will find in the future are the ten of swords, the three of pentacles, and the four of cups. The ten of swords is a card of violent endings, either reversed or upright. When reversed, the message is power, but short lived. Once again, we are getting hints that someone with some power played a role in this situation, but it will not last. The three of pentacles is a card of craftsmanship, yet it falls reversed; and I think it helps to explain the ten of pentacles and the Magician a little bit; it is telling us that someone who was charged with bringing events to light decided, instead, to hide clues and obscure the truth. The last card is the four of cups. When we get this card reversed, we have a sigh of relief.....someone jumping from new relationship to new relationship and from novelty to novelty.

For the answer to the question of "where"; I must conclude that water is a dominant geographic feature in Morgan's current surroundings. The three cards for the present gave me two cards from the suit of cups, and the element corresponding to cups is water, and Judgement is, on mundane, or everyday levels, a "watery" card in and of itself. As a physical location, it tells of traversing and rising out of water, typically a large lake or an ocean, but not travelling to new places. Reversed, it would simply tell of water as a hiding place, rather than a springboard or an agent of rebirth.

Kathryn Adam

Kathryn Adams disappeared in April of 1993, while working for Leggs as a delivery person. She disappeared in Salina, Kansas after visiting a Kwik Stop where her image was caught on a security camera. That was the last known sighting of her; the van she was driving turned up at a restaurant that was closed for remodeling.

The reading starts with the seven of swords crossed by the King of Swords. This speaks to legal matters; the seven of swords is a card that usually describes the attempt to take more than one can handle, or take something that does not belong to one. The King of Swords is often a policeman, lawyer, or judge, or a man of authority connected to law. In this case, he was well disposed toward Kathryn, and was trying to stop her from something either unnecessary or unwise. As a bit of background, we get the nine of swords, which is worry, and lots of it. The cause of this worry is the Sun, reversed, which speaks of home, marriage, and family in a state of upheaval or unrest. In possible outcomes for the matters weighing on Kathryn's mind when she disappeared, the seven of pentacles appears, reversed. The message here is that Kathryn was about to be forced to part with something, or with money, for which she had worked hard, and she did not think it was just and fair. The next card is the ten of cups. Usually, the ten of cups is a wonderful card, but in answer to the question about Kathryn's missing persons case, I find it troubling. It bespeaks an ending here, in specific, an ending to a family situation or marriage, without the marriage actually having to end.

The first card on the staff is judgement, reversed. As it falls in the place of fears, this card's clear message is the fear of death. The next card, depicting an important feature of Kathryn's surroundings at the time, is the Queen of Wands. This would be a woman over the age of seventeen with reddish hair (possibly dyed) and an impulsive nature. She is not reversed, so at the moment, I think she is friend, rather than foe. In the place of hopes, we find the Wheel of Fortune, reversed, which tells us that in addition to family problems, Kathryn somehow found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time. The last card is the ace of wands, reversed, which is a dealing that did not materialize, or turn out the way Kathryn had anticipated.

Two sevens appeared in this reading, and it seems plausible that they may refer to a route number or a place. The pentacles point north, but are reversed here, and the swords point east. Seven, ten, and twenty seem to be significant numbers; between seven and twenty miles to the east, then off the beaten path a bit. The Sun has shown up reversed, and when I asked why Kathryn disappeared, I drew the Moon, which, in this case, speaks of mistrust and dishonesty. Also, these two cards together in a reading often refer to outdoors, "under the sun", or "in moonlight".

Dylan Redwine

Dylan Redwine, of Colorado, was last seen a week ago, at his father's home near Durango, Colorado. He was supposed to visit his father for the Thanksgiving holiday. There is now a search in progress for him. My question is, what happened to Dylan, and where is he?

We start with the ten of cups, reversed, crossed by the four of wands. This gives a message of unhappiness in the home, crossed by some sort of happy event, or haven. Beneath this, we have the hierophant, who represents tradition. This could either be a minister, counselor, priest or mentor of some sort, whose guidance had helped Dylan in the past. Or it could be an institution representing tradition, such as a church or a school that had a positive effect on Dylan. Either way, it was something Dylan wanted back. Also in the past, we have the Page of Wands, which is usually a message of some kind, but in this reading, I think it represents Dylan. I also think something he had tried to tell others in his situation was not properly heard. The next card, in the place of things that have not yet come to pass, is the Empress, which is the "mother" card in the Tarot. She is also the very best result here, and the very best person for Dylan right now. The next card, in the place of things that either will happen or are happening, is Judgement, reversed, which tells of separation and fear. Sometimes it even speaks of fear of death. There is something outside of Dylan's control right now, separating him from where he wants to be, and from where he is safe. I do not believe he ran away.

In the place of fears, we find this reinforced by the two of wands, reversed, telling us of betrayals, fear, domination, and the fear of being overpowered. In the place of environment, we find the Moon, which, in this reading, speaks of things hidden or disguised, and of deception. Wherever Dylan is, he is hidden, and I think water is somehow part of the picture. For a direction, this card points us west. The eight of cups, reversed, is in the place of Dylan's hopes; this tells me that if Dylan could reverse the choice he made that got him into this situation, he would do so. And then we have the Page of Swords, as the final outcome, as another young person who is watching everyone search. For good or for ill, this person knows where Dylan is, yet has not come forward. His numeric value is eleven, and his direction would be east. Swords occasionally tells us of cyber communications.

My sense of this is that Dylan is alive.......I sincerely hope I am right. I will keep praying for his safe return, and I will come back to this if he is not home within a few days.

Updated Tarot Question For Sierra Lamar

Some asked me to do another update for Sierra Lamar, who went missing in March. While I do not think much has changed since the initial reading and update, I decided to try one more reading, just honing in on Sierra's location. So far, it does not appear that any of the so-called clues or testimony has been helpful; in fact, it looks as if law enforcement may have been deliberately guided to the wrong track from the beginning.

We begin with Judgement reversed crossed by the Star. This means that someone is deliberately attempting to cheat the judicial system. Judgement also sometimes means fear of death. The Star means hope and courage, and as it crosses the problem now experienced by those searching for Sierra, I think we can safely say that someone is deliberately keeping any valuable information about Sierra away from those who could bring her home. The Wheel of Fortune is in the background here, and this is the opportunity that someone had to make Sierra disappear in the first place. Someone had wanted to remove Sierra for some time, and had finally found a way to step up his/her game and make it happen. The seven of cups fades into the past here, and this is a card of illusions. Because we have seen Judgement reversed already, the message is that the illusions were deliberately placed. The eight of swords reversed is something that could happen. This means that this charade can come to an end soon and that Sierra can be found. A possible location described by this card is drainage ponds and runoff. I hate to think of septic systems, but that, too. This is followed by the three of cups, which is the end of something, and also an excess of food or alcoholic beverages. Upright, this card would speak of reasons to celebrate. Reversed, it is telling us, in this case, that something that used to be anticpated is now cooling down, so to speak. As a location, it tells of a place where celebrations may have been held, but not in a long time. Mild disrepair.

The five of pentacles describes the mindset of the person(s) who knows where Sierra can be found. Money is on this person's mind, and budgeting money has become somewhat of a problem. Help is not as available as it would be if this person were not hiding something, and this person cannot afford to be open and honest because he/she is hiding a crime. The Knight of Pentacles, reversed, comes up in the environment. This is a lazy, dependant, good-for-nothing type of male and he may have dark hair and brown eyes. He is not one of Sierra's agemates; he is an adult. The Knight of Swords, reversed, comes up in the place of hopes or fears, and I think this describes the event surrounding Sierra's disappearance and the feelings of the Knight of Pentacles. Reversed, this is a card of violence. The last card is the three of pentacles, reversed. This takes us back to the five of pentacles, in the Knight's worries. It is a card of mediocrity in the workplace, and may tell us of someone who is either not working when he should be, or is having problems at work. Somehow, this is tied to Sierra's disappearance and current location enough to show up in a reading.

Back to Judgement crossed by the Star. This perpetrator has had some help in hiding Sierra, and the Star is the hope these people have of blocking any new beginnings. I am hoping they do not get away with it.
